Attention: There is a prevalent email scam happening everywhere where the sender claims to have a password to a site and demands money in some form. Ignore it, do not respond and at most change passwords on any sites you frequent.

Effective immediately, moving or animated GIFs are not allowed in signatures. If your signature has one, please remove or replace it asap. Staff will remove them as and when we see them without notice.

Sincerest apologies to everyone for the recent blackout. VEF and several of our sister forums had a major server malfunction. The database index is being rebuilt from scratch and may take at least several days to be fully restored. Expect major weirdness and lots of glitches in the meantime. Thank you all for your patience and understanding.

Unfortunately it seems that all of the posts made from the 13th March until the crash are permanently lost, please feel free to re-post any such material, apologies for this.

An hour ago I read a technical letter on the Internet. It seems Microsoft's CEO is a (very, very) stubborn person. In spite of all protests it seems Microsoft intends of increasing the forced upgrades for the year 2016. In 2016 the level of urgency for the downloads of Windows 10 will be raised to the highest level. They take as an excuse the actual number of the downloads in a short time. But they do not say this comprises forced downloads by people who did not want it. I am really disgusted.
