When she was still performing in high school musicals, true fame seemed “an eternity away” to dreamy-eyed Tami Hogen. Now 19, our October Pet of the Month marvels at her unexpected ascent to stardom in the pages of Penthouse. “I never expected my career to take off this suddenly,” she enthuses. “It’s a good thing I’ve always had a flair for the dramatic!”

A West Coast native, 33-22-33 Tami bristles at the “California girl” stereotype. “Smoldering brunettes are just as sexy as blue-eyed blondes.”

“I grew up in a family of five children,” Tami recalls. Being the eldest, she was expected to set an example. “But,” she adds, laughing, “like any teenager, I suffered my share of groundings.”

Currently working as a long-distance telephone operator, Tami hopes to save enough money to finally visit all the exotic places she’s been dialing. Meanwhile, she’s just returned from an impromptu high school reunion bash in Mexico. “I’ll travel anywhere on a moment’s notice.”

Although she’s “settled down somewhat” after moving in with her boyfriend of two years, Tami confesses that she’s still quite capable of being impulsive when the spirit strikes. “I love fast cars. Speed and risk really turn me on.”

“But when it comes to romance, I like to take my time.” Like the song says, Tami prefers a man with a slow hand. “If a man wants to make love to me, he’d better be ready to make a commitment to me first.”
