Just back from holiday. Wall to wall sunshine. A one litre glass of beer was one Euro 50 cents. Lovely stuff it was. 11nights and no morning hangover after a good morning free fry up. No work to worry about, phone turned off, semi naked bodies on the beach.

Boy was I glad to get home.

Nothing tonight as think my liver needs a rest.

So, I've finally stumbled upon something I can drink 8-10 Oz. of a night, without getting a hangover. Basically, its the death knoll for my liver.
I shall rename myself "Sir Osis of DeLiver.", as Bugs Bunny knew all too well:

Finally , turkey is ate so I am able to put 2 -18 packs of Bud Light bottles on ice , in about 1 hour I will be able to drink a few but I have to share tonight

the wife's sister is here and she drinks my beer (and never brings any

) I do have a 30 pack in reserve

so until the beer gets cold I will settle for a glass of Bourbon and smoke a cigar

So sitting here and thinking and the rest of the world is missing out on Thanksgiving American style , I would much rather celebrate Thanksgiving than Christmas as no gifts to give or receive , just eat , drink and hang out with family , also a 4 day weekend

Here in the great, white north, a pipe is a great thing, as everything dries out at 20 below.

Ya gotta be careful with pipes, though, if you like the taste of tobacco. Meerschaum pipes don't absorb so much of the taste, but they are pricey. Best to buy a nice one for one's favorite tobacco, and a cheaper one for the rest, but I'm poor.
As I see it from here, cigars in the summer, and a pipe in the winter,

Today's drink comes from Germany: Aventinus Weizen Eisbock. Pours a caramel brown color with a large white head that quickly disappears. Very high alcohol content of 12.0%. Outstanding taste of cherries, other dark fruits, candied sugar and that slight banana taste from wheat beers. Taste is so outstanding that you can barely taste the high alcohol content.
