I don't know about your problem but have you tried from a browser instead of JD ?
Try maybe with a small file to avoid waiting for hours |

I have tried from two other browsers, Opera and Firefox. No joy and they lack the "recovery" function (automatic re-start after the 4 minute wait) that JD 2 offers. Once the browser download "disconnects" it's over.
Anyway, right after I made this initial post I had completed the download of "Mixed Nuts" using dfiles.eu links. It extracted fine (3 .rar files) but both Windows media and VLC media player could not play the MP4 file, saying it could not recognize the format. Strange, since there was no error indication on the extraction. So, I went back to VEF and started the "Mixed Nuts" download (1fichier) that had failed previously and let it run all night, which I do quite often because of my slow DSL. This morning JD 2 had completed the download and I had a very good playable MP4 file of Mixed Nuts. The length was 1:54. Why it worked as it had many weeks ago was a mystery to me. As I indicated in my initial post, its been many weeks since I have been able to complete a 1fichier download from at least 5 different video threads. Three days ago I ran one, using JD 2 for almost 24 hours and the last re-try of that download ran all the way to 98% complete before disconnecting, waiting 4 minutes and on re-start instead of resuming to get the remaining 2% it went back to the beginning. That's when I decided to post in the Help section. I won't know if it will stay "fixed" or return to what it has been doing for several weeks. I'll probably try another 1fichier download in the next few days and I'll post the results. |

So my monthly subscription ran out. Went to resubscribe and got this message:
2015-07-11 Due to a breach of our monetic contract, we are not able to propose you Credit Cards payments. We must add other offers and come back to our old prices. Is this just a temporary thing? There is no page that I can find that would allow me to resubscribe. This is a great site and downloading from them is fast and easy. Would hate for them to have to go away. |

The last three 1fichier downloads have all worked. No clue as to what was the problem. If I had to guess, I would say it's probably my DSL provider (AT&T).

I think there are resellers where u can buy accounts via CC. The prob is that they are more expensive. For me it is not a problem because i always paid via Paysafecard.

1fichier has been extreme value for money but I don't fear the prices going a bit up for various memberships. But I do fear a lot of people will skip 1fichier because of the cc issue, making their business model ultimately unsustainable.

Checked out the resellers and they vary from $8-9 per month, which is still a good value for 1fichier. Now I just need to do some research to find out which site feels "safer" (i.e. which site to use my credit card.)
