Beautiful! May I request the proper pronunciation of February?
It's not feb-yew-erry, feb-er-erry, feb-a-werry. FEB-ROO-AIR-EE. 2 Rs, no Ws. :-) |

At the risk of being too serious, the number of VEF members who can't spell 'definitely' should be a cause of serious concern.

Awesome. Guilty as charged on the weather or not to use whether. Thirty lashes upon my bottom from this nun:
This will ensure that I do it again at least twice. The list should include all right, too, to, and two too.

Quote:
The "ie" thing can be cleared up by employing to old elementary school refrain: "i" before"e" except after "c", or when sound as "a" as in "neighbor" and "weigh". There are a handful of exceptions to even this rule, which are mostly encompassed in the (admittedly nonsensical) sentence: The weird foreigner seizes neither leisure nor pleasure at its height. There are a couple other exceptions, but remembering these rules should help in almost every case. |
