Can you guys respect the actors you don't like? I personally can't stand Tom Cruise,Michael J Fox, or as I listed before, Gene Hackman.Stallone seems like a boob, Costner bothers me too, and Robert De Niro comes across like a complete ass hat.
That said, I love the movies, and the characters they play.Tom Cruise in particular.I'd love to bitch slap the dude, but I love his roles.

Default Sylvester Stallone

When will Hollywood realise that being a bodybuilder doesn't necessarily mean you can act, especially when you are barely literate?

His ex wife used to be hot though! I wonder if he left her simply because she was losing her looks?

'Owen Wilson'

Really?!?! Why?

You, Me & Dupree, Zoolander, Wedding Crashers are hilarious flicks

I hate to disagree, but it's NOT my loss. That's a bit like saying that I'm missing out on the "enjoyment" of eating squid. I don't like it, so I'm not "missing out" if I don't eat it ... ergo, I am NOT "missing out" if I avoid a film which will be completely spoiled by an actor who irritates the hell out of me! "Seeemples" ... as the meerkat would say!

As for Owen Wilson ... he has the sort of inane grin which makes me want to hit him ... repeatedly. It might not be a very GOOD reason, but it's good enough for me. Of course, I'm delighted that YOU find his flick hilarious, but I know people who find "The Office" hilarious ... who think that Arnie's "Junior" was a tour de force of comedy genius ... and who think that "My Hero" was the funniest TV show ever ... but guess what, I think they all suck!

The Office? I'm torn, in that I could never bear to watch more than 10 minutes in one go yet some of the set pieces, especially the Tim and Dawn conversations, were quite brilliantly imagined, written and acted. As for Ricky Gervase, he is widely detested around VEF and I can see why, but he is a man I feel sorry for, because I think he is very very like his David Brent character in real life (judging from interviews and televised public engagements) and he knows this about himself. What worse punishment could you inflict on David Brent than the ''gift'' of self-awareness?

Arnie? He's a bit of a given on this thread. His film career is dedicated to re-cycling waste products. Its much easier and quicker to list Schwarzenegger films which were actually any good than to list the turkies.

As for My Hero I didn't drop everything and rush home watch it, but I found it mildly amusing, which is better than most sit-coms since the end of the great Yes, Prime Minister.

So squigg58 doesn't agree with Mr White, and I don't agree with squigg58: IMHO that's as it should be. Wouldn't it be scary if there was one accepted VEF party line and we all toed it? VEF would be like the cemetary at dusk in Night of the Living Dead with the members solemnly and carniverously rising out of the graves.

I know it should only about one 'actor' but, here's a few to mull over. i.e. they're tw@ts!

Jude Law. The only thing that's obscure about him is his lack of absolute talent.

Colin Farrell. Looks like a Pikey on a waltzer, where he really should be.

Ben Afleck. Gigli.

A few 'actresses'

Sienna Miller. If I hear this talentless bint, (who for some reason the adjective 'Boho' seems to have been invented.) I swear I'll kick my telly in..

Keira Knightly. Why?

Lindsy Lohan. I know, I know, she's an easy target, I don't care.

This forum is a tough school, isn't it?

Blondi you would enjoy "The Remains of the Day". He has about 5 mins and gets killed.

Keira Knightley: What about that Beckham thing? She's not as overrated as he is.

Jude Law: I think "Cold Mountain" is pretty good, apart from Renée Zellweger doing Granny Clampett most of the time. It's a great book.

I like Gene Hackman: Someone asked him asked him about the movie where the ship capsizes, you know... I can't think of the name of it but it was pretty memorable. Anyway Gene responds, "I don't know, I've never seen it". That's a big wrap, he's the star of the movie and he's never even bothered to watch it!

Kevin Costner: I love "No Way Out" and Gene's in that too. If you don't like him you would enjoy "The Big Chill", he plays a corpse, doesn't last 5 mins.

Nicholas Cage: Started to watch that Mandolin thing, gave it up after about 3 mins.

Stephen Fry: I would watch any of his stuff.

Stephen Segal: Can't think of anything I would bother with. No wait there was that Battleship one. Only because I like battleships. It also had that naked chick jumping out of the cake, that was pretty fine.

Richard Dryfuss: Yeah, I find him pretty annoying. I seem to remember him making a complete hash of a Tom Stoppard movie "Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead".

I forgot to mention Richard "Gerbils" Gere. I think it safe to say that is an urban legend. Mythbusters could do a test.

Yes I sat through that a couple of times, just for that very scene .
Kind of makes you hate him even more

Initially I took the title of this thread to be/mean "Actors You Dislike in Every Movie", so I'd probably add some of the earliest Adam Sandler to that list.
Particularly "Happy Gilmore", as it was recomended to my then girlfriend by a male admirer, back then. I'm fairly sure I wouldn't have liked it anyway, even beyond my personal bias.
I don't dislike everything he's done, particularly his later stuff.
"Click" wasn't bad at all. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Click_(film)

Edit: this thread was originally called "Actors You Dislike in Any Movie".
For the blonde in me, I'm glad they changed the title!
