Unfortunately on needs an other sort of coffee and a machine which pressures the water with a high temperature through the coffee. A machine like "Senseo" or similar does good results instead and are a good compromise (using espresso of course) to the mostly expensive espresso-machines. As for cappuccino put an other coffeepot 1/2 filled with milk (and the sugar if you like) into the microwave for 30 sec. Than stir the milk up with this (for example): and pay attention that you stir up the air into the milk. Then tip the milk and the cream into the coffee slowly. I like to celebrate it with Guests. BTW: Cacao doesn't belong over the cream ! (one can do, but no Italian would have that idea, I think). In Austria it is called "Wiener Melange" (="Viennese Blend"); so it isn't Italian origin. The Melange is 1/2 cup "black coffee" (espresso!) and 1/2 cup creamy milk, completed by milk foam. Austria is famous for its Cafè (coffeehouses) and one gets the (usually) strong coffee with a glass of cold still water. In Germany this water (mostly!) is already in.

I've got a couple of Sicilians staying with me just now - they make espresso in a little silver pot thing that splits in to two halves. They drink it from a tiny cup and it's so strong you could walk on it. They laugh at me for drinking tea! "Porco Dio Signor Fleetwood" they say, "why you drink that merda?"

Espressocooker There is a pressure-valve in, that's pumps the steamy cooking hot water from the tank below into the upper can. One need a hot plate with it.

In my neck of the woods, we call a carbonated soft drink "pop." Soda is what you have when you pour pop over ice cream. I've been cutting down on the amount of pop I drink, I'm drinking Snapple diet teas lately, or Crystal Light powdered drinks. I'll take two flavors and make a full liter. Orange and strawberry tastes like a candy called Smarties here, which are small flavored disks.
I never got the taste for coffee and I haven't had a hot cup of tea in I can't remember how long.

OK, those "pop" drinks contain a lot of sugar (much to much of- , IMHO). But Exchanging sugar with saccharrine, ect. is a risky thing. Those drinks are tasting sweet because of non natural sweets (bees for example cannot be fooled by it ). Your tongue signals sweet. So the hormon Insulin gets into the blood to balance the blood-sugar. But there is no sugar in the blood the sugar-level in your blood sinks rapidly; and you are getting soon hungry ! So in short words. Easy to prevent this, if you are eating an apple (or any other fruit) or simply a slice of bread with your drink. Never drink those diet drinks solo, without eating something, I suggest.

In Belfast we have pop deliveries by Maine. My paternal granny always had pop in the fridge for us. Then...soda stream came along.

http://www.ahoj-brause.de/ My grandma said to me, "it would be expensive, one can't have it every day", to prevent me of drinking this unhealthy stuff en masse.
