In the mornings it is a cup of coffee and a glass of orange juice. If I don't start the day with these two items then I just don't feel right. Otherwise it is mainly tea, hot or iced, throughout the day.

There are a lot of hispanic or international markets in the area carrying the Mexican Coke which is nice. Sometimes you will also find Mexican Sprite and Orange Fanta.

You can also find lots of South and Central American made sodas although with many of them the colors don't look natural and they all seem to taste like bubblegum.

When I am in the mood I will sometimes make my own root beer. I do this by either making or purchasing root beer extract and adding it to carbonated water. I also make my own fruit sodas. Some of the local brewpubs and microbreweries also make root beer and some even make ginger ale which is very nice. For commercial root beers, I am partial to Barqs (although it does have HFCS). A Po'Boy or a burrito and a Barq's is something special.

Have you guys ever heard of - or tasted - the oddball concoction Moxie?

Although it looks like a cola, it tastes kinda like a carbonated non-alcoholic version of Jägermeister, with hints of Robitussin cough syrup. I'd never heard of it until I moved to Maine. Definitely an acquired taste; I drink about 1 a year. It's not that it's bad, it's just...strange.

It's actually the official Maine State Soft Drink. No, really. There's even an annual Moxie festival, where you can sample such delicacies as Moxie-flavored Jello.

I have had Moxie when up in New England. It is an interesting beverage.

75% pure orange juice, about half a teaspoon of Lime Juice & top it up with Lemonade.

Simple but great on a hot day, it does make all the pulpy bits of the OJ rise to the top, but hey, I like it that way
& you've just had 3 of your 5 a day
... pour another a get ahead of your quotient

Also much safer, when some nasty drunk hits you over the head with one, like in the movies

Since it was found that fizzy drinks do you more harm than good and can lead to other things like the onset of diabetes if drunk everyday I now stick to either, orange juice, orange squash(special R from Robinsons), water and milk. Water is the best for flushing out your system but the best drink has to be TEA, a national obsession but curer of all ills, worries, small wars and general sadness in times of trouble-you can't beat a good cuppa. (_)D shall I be mother?

I never gave up drinking alcohol but that's no problem to me - drinking very less of it and I don't like any hard drinks.

I usually drink a lot of coffee during the day - not so good in that quantity, I know.
Tea would be the better alternative, but it just doesn't appeal to me.

In summer of course I drink more mineral water, some times mixed with pure lemon juice (non sweet) and less of coffee.

A cup or two of coffee in the morning. Maybe some water during the day.

I'm not much into sugary anything to drink. I like the coffee black (in the States anyway, Europe a whole different ball game). Tea (hot and cold) unsweetened.

I by no means avoid alcohol. I go through spells where I avoid it. Usually if I'm on a running and/or weight lifting program. But I have no issues either.

Thumbs up Tea-Pee

I drink about ten large cups of tea per day plus the occasional cup of coffee, [ real coffee, not the instant shit]!

So I spend a lot of time urinating!

I love a good old fashioned builders tea in the morning. I like Robinsons orange barley water; orange squash. Like fleets I like real coffee. A cappuccino is nice. But I buy it in my local coffee shop. Dandelion & Burdock is nice as is ginger ale.
