At the moment its all the stupid 2012 crap, damned history channel.

But usually its car accidents...had a few of them in my life and just hearing the crash freaks me out to no end.

As a kid it was being buried alive tho. I'm also afraid of burning to death, the other ways to go don't seem quite as bad. I don't fear being poor or homeless or alone, I've been all of those at some point and alone most of my life and as much as they suck pain is so much worse. I've had horrible pain, it's terrible. I've never died but it can't be as bad as pain.

Boredom.

Not merely bored to tears, but bored to death.

Compared, a few (well, many) quick 'nips' in the piranha-infested river doesn't seem so bad...

The IRS and tax filing time ... whether I'm getting money back or will I have to pay out ... and the fear of ever being called in to be audited!
I know a couple of friends who went through the drudgery of being audited, and from what that told me it was quite an ordeal and a very unpleasant experience ... its almost like being dissected and placed under a microscope! It is something that I would not wish even on my worst enemy!

I've nothing to hide but still dread an audit, mostly for the inconvenience.
You can bet our broke governments will be paying particular attention to the self-employed in the coming years. They can hassle us for money and move the financial goalposts without it costing them too many votes. The UK is recruiting 2000 extra tax inspectors to target the super-rich. I'm about 1000 times too small to be on their radar but I'm sure everyone else won't go unnoticed. My accountant has already informed me of new rules and penalty charges for late returns and payments.

I too operate a small one-man business and have nothing to hide, and in comparison to other businesses I am a flea on an elephant's ass, but it is that fear of a simple foolish addition or subtraction error which could get my ass dragged into the IRS office!

I have always feared the unthinkable of ever having to be told by some physician the dreadful news that I have some type of inoperable or incurable medical affliction and then being given an "expiration" date!

I'm scared of becoming an fat, grumpy old man like my father and his father when he was alive. They are exactly the same sit in 'their' armchair, if anyone else sits in that chair you get thrown out. Dad just sits there flicking through the TV channels barely saying a word. When mum and dad come to visit dad doesn't speak just grunts and if you force him to give an answer he gets snappy. When it's time to leave he doesn't say anything just gets up and walks out to the car.
Hang on a minute I'm already fat, I'm getting old......Oh shit!!!

Where do I start
Any form of cancer be it me or family
Dying alone. I think I can prevent that, I've got plenty of time
Heart attacks or strokes
Fireworks(ever since I was a kid) stupid I know, but it's a bit like shellshock to soldiers, in that any loud noise makes them jump, so you can imagine how I feel each 5th Nov.
Losing my parents, or my sister love em to pieces and hope they last for a good many years on this earth(Dad 80, Mum 71, Sister 48).
