There are very few people, today, who don't see the decision to invade Iraq as a disaster.

About the only person who actually argues "it was a good thing and we won" is Dick Cheney.

What the Administration said before they invaded is a matter of record, not opinion.

Similarly, what happened after we invaded is a matter of record, not opinion.

And the collapse of the US financial system is also a matter of record.

Its a uniquely bad record of failure.

As a camper, we were always taught "leave a campsite better than you found it". George Bush took a nation at peace, prosperous, respected around the world, and left it, eight years later, insolvent, mired in endless disastrous war.

Here's a simple question:

Look at the state of the nation, on the day the President took office and on the day that he left: By that measure, which President so grievously impaired the Nation as George W Bush?

Because I totally disagree with your position. Why? Bush may have not been a very effective POTUS but it was not him alone. His advisers share the blame and reportedly the intelligence (HA) agencies with held, altered or omitted some info for their own agendas plus there was supposedly infighting among them. You are suppose to be able to trust your staff.
Let me give you only the info I want you to have and see how effective your decisions will be.
He does bear some blame because he was THMFIC but not as much as some posters like to pile it on IMO.
