At our company, budget cuts haven't only been translated in a reduction of foreign travel (not a bad idea) but also in subletting office space (utterly stupid). As a result I have been sharing office space with two secretaries of my unit who play this horrible radio station all day. I'm completely fed up and depressed with these two songs:

One thing I learned ages ago is that even great music will drive you quite completely insane if it's stuck in your head for too long. At the age of ten, Strawberry Fields got stuck in my head for some reason, and after about 48 hours I started getting really scared - I'm not joking. I thought I was starting to go mad.
When I was in college, a guy in my dorm played Carry On Wayward Sun every morning...cranked it out the window. Yes, it was put in my head against my will. Nice track. I don't ever want to hear it again.
Radio stations, of course, are guilty of this, ruining great music by playing it incessantly for years and years. For example, to be honest, I never wanna hear Hotel California again. Another example...when I first heard Stairway to Heaven, I thought, you know, my God, what a great composition, beautifully recorded. I mean, it totally blew me away. If I hear it today, it's just, you know, it's just there. It has no affect whatsoever.
One time my dad mentioned that Offenbach's Tales of Hoffmann is one of his absolute favorite operas. I asked him why he never listens to it. His response? "I don't wanna get tired of it."

I got sick as a dog the weekend I was supposed to start my active duty in the Navy, and this stupid song was being played at least once an hour on most of the radio stations. Dizzy, indeed - Ugh!!!
