Something new that I'm seeing this morning though is when I click a like to DF from VEF I'm getting redirected after I wait on the 60 second timer to run out. When I click in the captcha box (or anywhere around it, outside the box) I get redirected to:

http://depositfiles.com/files/undefined

That page gives me a new timer and eventually tells me that the file doesn't exist, access to the file is limited or the file has been removed due to copyright infringment. If I try to copy and paste that message here I get another popup.

I've been able to type out the captcha in Notepad then paste it back into the captca box and hit
enter really quickly and I can see the download button, but I get redirected faster than I can click the link.

I saw where someone else said that DF will limit access to files if they've got a lot of traffic from paying customers, but I've been using them for many years and have never seen that behavior before.

I was curious if anyone else is seeing what I'm seeing today?

EDIT TO ADD: I just found that if you can stop the captcha page from redirecting (just press the stop button or whatever keyboard shortcut for that function) then you'll get the link for the download link.
Yep. Exactly this. My NOD antivirus is blocking the whole site, presumably because of this.

Deposit Files is now switching screens immediately when I tried stopping the first page from loading as I mentioned in my previous post. One of the "ransomware" popups is from dailypromos.xyz. There's another one that gives a big red screen. I'm trying to get it to reload so I can add it to AdAware.

The easy workaround is click the "new captcha" button that you usually click if an unreadable one comes up. Click it a few times and eventually it'll cycle to another form of captcha.

Not saying DF is doing this themselves, but if anyone here is in touch with those guys you might want to let them know their new captcha is buggy. Right now it's the only site I've encountered that uses this particular one. Fortunately that workaround is effective so it's not a deal breaker.
Is it this one? It does lock my browser. I just go to the task manager and kill the chrome process(es). It seems they have a way of starting multiple chrome processes and I usually have to kill the ones with the larger byte count to get the whole process dead. I then run Malwarebytes which finds nothing on this (ever). Recently I found a chrome cleaner tool and ran that. I haven't seen it in awhile but the whole experience makes you want to load a weapon and go hunting. It would be a shame if someone picked up their IP and pinged it a few million times rendering them useless! Hey maybe that's what happened! (Although scum bags like this usually use proxy servers in which case the proxy gets banged up the keister).

They are harmless, but annoying and I will not upload to them again untill they sort themselves out.

But we are getting pushed for decent hosters who keep download times fair.

And depositfiles are really good for downloading and holding files, for a free hoster.

Did I say ...always have Good anti virus and back up, just a thought guys & girls.

Sometimes when you click on the space to enter the captcha code it redirects or prevents you from entering the word(s). I've found that using the tab button to move the cursor instead of clicking with the mouse works.

Some over on our sister forum PS are claiming disabling ad-block plus solves the issue of not being able to get beyond the captchas / redirects or in their words downloading is now OK

Almost sounds like DF have come up with their own solution for making folks turn off their ad-blocking

In the past you had to disable no script for their captchas to run properly

Default DepositFiles spurious error message

On DepositFiles I am starting to see the message 'The file does not exist, the access to the following file is limited or it has been removed due to infringement of copyright' on some files (3 over the last month) when I check them immediately after what appears to be a successful upload. I tried ZIPing the file and a re-up but the same message appears. The only workaround I can find is to use HJSplit - all the split files then appear OK. But I would normally reserve this for larger files only. I have a DF account which is registered but free.
