If you could chose a theme for yourself what would it be ?
Now i`m talking about the tune which would either best sum you up or is something that might help you become the person you want to be. Oh and when i say theme i`m really talking about an intro the sort of thing boxers have playing before they enter the ring , only you`d have it start in real life whenever you wished it.
Me i`d go for the Halloween theme , but orchestrated much more grandiose .Sort of similar in depth to the theme of The Black Hole , something guaranteed to send even the toughest of hoodies back to their sand pit . "Do`ya mind if i cut in ? "

Ok the public have spoken , well eleven members did and said nothing . But who could blame them, lets be honest here and lay our nuts on the table, this thread idea was ill conceived and still-born at birth .
Hey we all make mistakes , mine was in believing other members had theme tunes lodged in their heads Please somebody contact the relevant powers and put this thread out of it's misery , i just , i just can't do it myself

At PS What does that green right-pointing icon mean? I've always wondered. Smiley faces I can cope with but this seems to serve no purpose at all and yet you've used it. Why?

It's Jupiter
Quote:
(1) The Soldier's Chorus from Faust. I just like it and it reminds me of my long dead mother who used to sing the filthiest words to it I've ever heard -and her a good catholic girl too! (2) The Overture from the Mikado. Gotta love those drums. (3) The Theme from Eastenders. Again brilliant dramatic use of the drums. More English people recognise this tune than their own national anthem so it would hardly set me apart from the crowd. I have no connection with London and I've never watched an episode of Eastenders in my life and don't intend to. Its significance to me is that it's the only soap that Aerope watches. When I hear that tune I know I can escape undisturbed to the study and see who's doing what and with what and to whom in VEF. (4) El Dorado. Great title song from a great movie starring the greatest cowboy actor there's ever been. She wore a Yellow Ribbon came under consideration for similar reasons. (5) Always Look on the Bright Side of Life. Because I try to. (6) Paint It Black. Because I don't always succeed. But the winner by a short head is Jupiter. Jupiter is the bringer of jollity and, if there's one thing that this world is short of, it's joy. I can be a grumpy old sod at the best of times and I think if I had a theme tune like this to live up to, it would make me a nicer person. It's a great piece of music too. Thinking up a user name and finding an avatar I found simple. By comparison, deciding on a theme tune was really hard. I wonder if we'll be the only two contributors to this thread. At PS You're not the bloke in the next cell are you?

GreenSkull this threads excellent
You lied !!! , excuse me i need time to pull myself together (But then that`s the trouble with blue-tack attached bones)
Now that`s better ,well actually there's no limit to the number of theme tunes you could have , as hey there is never be no rules on these my threads ( Apart from those already there etc ) not even ones of grammar ! Hmmm so seven now eh ( Mightily decent choice for number one ) ,think i`ll bump up my tally 6) Local Hero 7) Jaws 8) Stop making sense 9) Dune 10) Ghost World ( End Credits ) Ok so there`s ten and i like them all , for the singular reason that they`re able to divert my thoughts off transient reality into fixed memory . Well the here and now can be such a dank place i find leaving it can be occasionally beneficial to my warped psyche . Maybe your right and we`ll be the only two on this stunningly original thread ? , which`ll be a shame really .As there`s a prize draw for contributors at the end of the year and given that as organizer i can't enter ? , well lets just say it might lose some of it's excitement value . Ps , in answer to your ps No , i`m the dope inside the bloke next to your cell

not necessarily all movie soundtracks here,
but these are the ones i could use: 'Mars, the Bringer of War' (ELP 1985 Cover version) - i play this one in work all of the time, just to let the Top Brass know that their messengers of Satan will lose, against Mars. Page's Violin Bow/Guitar section of 'Dazed and Confused' from the Soundtrack to: 'The Song Remains the Same' (Original 1976 Release... yeah i got the new version, not as good), 'Funeral for a Friend' Elton, 'Go to Hell' Alice Cooper. title song 'Johhny The Fox Meets Jimmy The Weed' Thin Lizzy, title song 'War Child' Jethro Tull, 'The Ballad of Danny Bailey' Elton.

One of two Springsteen songs.
"Born To Run" or "Thunder Road". I'd have to flip a coin to decide which
