It could be worse, one pen away from championship football and now thanks to another fit and proper person its a man with a van football.

Part of the issue was the speed at which the deal was done. It’s understood that no broadcaster had come forward for the game until a few days before, put off by production costs of $80,000. Fox Sports had offered to show it but not pay those costs, and ABC agreed to pay the $80,000 at the last minute.

So us tax payers via our government station ABC put a group of comedians together(i'm not kidding) and broadcast it

So far no broadcaster has been signed for the two Arsenal games against Sydney FC and Western Sydney in July, with the value of such games having fallen from almost $1m paid by Channel Seven for Liverpool against Melbourne Victory in 2013 to effectively zero.

West Ham are to sign defender Pablo Zabaleta on a free transfer once his Manchester City contract expires at the end of June.

The 32-year-old Argentine will join on a two-year deal on 1 July.

I liked the look of Silva when watching him in the CL. He looks like a quality player who has a bright future. The problem is I guess that often young players look great in other leagues but struggle in the PL. So it will be interesting to see how he settles in and adapts to a more physical league. I suspect PSG will be quite happy with his move also as it weakens Monaco ahead of the new season.

Hope you don't mind a 'little' indulgence!!!

As another season 'ends' the curtain came down on White Hart Lane.

Here's a few of my 'views' at the last few games.

1. Defeat at Wembley.
2. Defeat at the Tax Payers Drain.
3. A few of the 'Finale' at the Lane.
4. 6-1 at Leicester, but the attempt to photo the scoreboard was rubbish!

Harry Kewell is the new Crawley manager. When he's injured Darren Anderton will help out. Theo Walcott and Andy Carroll watch with interest.

Well it seems a large number of fans will not be happy with Arsenal. According to the Mirror Wenger will sign a new 2 year deal regardless of the FA Cup result.

How do the two Wembleys compare, actually being there? I loved the old stadium and haven't been to the new one but it always looks so dull on tv.

Watford have appointed former Hull boss Marco Silva as their new manager on a two-year contract. Silva is the ninth Watford boss in five years and the eighth since the Italian Pozzo family took over in 2012.

No big surprise as he was heavily linked with them when it became clear he would likely be leaving Hull. He also stated that he would like to stay in the PL if possible. He was also linked with a move to Porto, although it seems the Portuguese club it seems decided not to pursue him.
