When I saw this thread I was thinking has Harriet Harmen taken part in a remake of Deep Throat, obviously this thread has far deeper implications.

If you make something illegal, for some reason people will want it, wether it be porn, cannabis or prostitution. What I can never understand is, with so many people clambering after the aforementioned and other illegals, why Governments don't make them legal and take some form of control.

As for the sad perverts who pray on children, perhaps some form of concentraction camp. Probably not as this would infringe on thier Human Rights.

Refering back to the initial post which closed with mention of the proposed Australian internet filter. KRudd the prime minister at the time of this proposal was voted out by members of his own party.
The Labour party of which he was head, narrowly hold a balance of power.

Rudds demise was more to do with increasing taxes on mining than anything else. One of Julia Gillards election 'promises' was to improve broadband connectivity for Australians.

I would hope they will improve the keyhole through which we currently access broadband in this country, before they impose any filters, which may potentially further slow connectivity.
Hopefully now the whole internet filter thing is dead and buried.

Sure, it's common to rate literature of one's nation as worlds best tought...

To be fair, Russian literature is highly regarded. I mean they gave us the Tolstoys, Chekhov, Pushkin, Nabakov, Dostoyevsky, Pasternak and more.
