Paula Hamilton was brought up by her mother and stepfather in South Africa, before the family moved to Hertfordshire when she was eight years old. As a dyslexic, she didn't learn to read and write until she was aged 11 but attended the 'Licensed Victuallers School' in Slough, along with Simon Cowell whom she later dated.

Career ... She suffered several rejections as a model and after allegedly being tricked into a some pornographic poses on a shoot she went to Japan, where she established a career, firstly in Japan and Australia, and then later back in Europe, in Germany and Italy. Back in the UK she was 'discovered' by photographer David Bailey, and the work flowed ... the zenith of her modelling career was when she appeared in an iconic 1987 television advert for the Volkswagen Golf. She had also branched into music videos ('Take That's' 'How Deep Is Your Love'), TV and Films including 'Mad Dogs and Englishmen' and TV's Channel 4's 'Celebrity Five Go To...' and 'Celebrity Big Brother 11'.

In 2000, after the death of her friend Paula Yates she left the UK and emigrated to New Zealand, where she started studying business at Christchurch Polytechnic. In 2006, she was back in the UK and she was re-signed by the leading agency 'Models 1', and is now signed to London-based Mandpmodels.

Love Life - A brief marriage to a cameraman in 1987 was followed by a relationship with British Army Officer (after their breakup she allegedly attempted suicide by trying to hang herself from a chandelier), this was followed by her being linked to Lord Ashcroft, and she was once engaged to film-maker Henry Cole. In the mid-2000's, she dated former England cricketer, Ed Giddins.

She went into rehab in her twenties having become addicted to cocaine, having been introduced to the drug by her agent ....

Then after seven years clean, became an alcoholic ... having checked herself into Christchurch-based alcohol treatment clinic 'The Deanery', she later ended up as a media celebrity, after leading a campaign to close the clinic down, after it revealed the private details of her admission and treatment. However after her second arrest and conviction for drink driving, she returned to the UK after a five years absence.

She claimed to have been sober since 2006, but was again convicted of drunk driving in November 2012, after crashing her car through her neighbour's conservatory in Farnham Common, Buckinghamshire

And finally, yesterday she was in Magistrates court after an incident last September, in which, after drinking a bottle of wine, she is accused of ripping the head off a 14 foot sunflower, and then assaulting a police officer with it, after the police were called. She had allegedly also threatened to kill herself (again). She has denied the assault, and says that the police beat her up and took her naked (covered only by a coat) to the police station. The courts decision is expected next month.

Update:

'Guilty as charged milord' ..... Hamilton was fined £400 and ordered to pay £650 in costs and a £15 victim surcharge for the sunflower assault.

A double header for the weekend: Isabelle Chaudieu was born on the Cote d'Azur, in France .... no biographies on the web, so I can only add that she started the traditional route to celebdom by entering beauty contests, and qualified for the 1985 Miss France competition. She won that competition and as well as modelling, has made at least one movie 'The Perils of Gwendoline in the Land of the Yik Yak' in 1984 ... then came the oops moment.

There are a few golden rules in the beauty pageant world, Being Single, Not being Pregnant, No Criminal Convictions, and Absolutely no nude photographs .... Oh Ohh! Yes, she had made some before the competition, and out they came and were in mens magazines as soon as she won the title, and so after only one month she was stripped of her Miss France title.

Carole Tredille was a beauty contestant in the French circuit and in 1984 she won the title Miss Savoie, which was qualifying title for the 1985 Miss France contest. She entered this, and was the runner up to Isabelle Chaudieu .... there's not much money in being runner up so she was needing gainful employment .... so she turned to areas where her charms might best be employed (no not that! ... well not quite) .... I mean the adult film industry.

While Ms Tredille was living up to the thread Motto "Well a Girls gotta eat" ... matters of import were afoot in the world of 'Miss France 1985' ... the winner, Isabelle Chaudieu, had in fact been in a photo-shoot of an adult nature for 'Lui magazine' prior to winning the title ... this had been released, and after just a month in office she was sacked. The International Committee Stars, which runs the Miss France pageant, unaware of Ms Tredille's radical change of career direction, therefore awarded the title to Ms Tredille

Of course it was later discovered that after losing the 1985 competition, she had adopted the stage name 'Tenessy', and has been making pornographic movies, so they had to strip her of the title as well .... so she continued to make porn movies up until a last release in 'The "Best of" Marc Dorcel 2' in 1994. This body of work includes such titles as 'Prick Power: Anal Delights (1991)', 'Italian Concepts 1 & 2 (Addicted to Love 1 & 2) (1985)', and 'Privacy raped by a woman'.

After she too was stripped of the Miss France title, her main director Michel Ricaud started touting her as "Tenessy - Former Miss France" .... however all did not end well ... the 1992 movie 'The Fallen Star' became notorious in France after the police became involved. It was a Sadomasochistic film, made for the Dutch market, where legislation on sadomasochism is less strict than in France ... but it was made in France.

Despite no complaints and no injuries to Ms Tredille, the police seized the tape from the director and searched his home. Ricaud Michel was interviewed by the police. This was the final film Tredille made, the later releases were already in the can by this time.

Jill Nicolini graduated from Sachem South High School and managed on whole year at Stony Brook University before joining 'WBLI Radio' in Long Island New York where she reported for LI News Tonight. She had also got a career as a local model

But hey, upwards and onwards .... In 2001, she became the 'arena announcer' for the 'New York Islanders' and put another career on start by becoming a dancer for the 'New York Dragons Arena Football team'. Also in 2001 she tried out unsuccessfully to become the 'official live-action model' for 'Vampirella' ....

Meanwhile, back in the day job, in 2001 she also became an on-camera traffic reporter at 'Long Island's Metro & Traffic and Weather Channel', and 'News 12/Long Island'. In 2003 she broke reality TV when she starred in FOX TV’s reality series 'Married by America' which again she won, but didn't get married. She was Traffic/Entertainment Anchor on "The PIX-11 Morning News".

In August 2006, it was reported that she would be one of the women trying out to become a Pussycat Doll; the tryouts were filmed as part of an upcoming reality TV show detailing the process. She has also tried to break into mainstream TV and films with bit parts in four feature films, and six TV shows, including HBO's 'Sex and the City' and NBC's 'Law & Order' ..... this girls a contender ... so watch this space!

But the call of celebdom was strong in this one, and leaving no stone unturned, she had entered and won the 'Miss Long Island' beauty pageant in 2002 .... however she forgot to read the rules about the 'No No's', and guess what ..... yes, she had already posed nude for Pl*yboy (I told you she left no stone unturned) ... apparently it was under the name "Jill Nikki" in their 'Fall 2001 College Girls Special Edition' ....

When the contest organizers found out they felt it was "immoral" and she was forced to relinquish her crown but she said that she only did so because she didn't want to represent a system that "didn't support and believe in her".

Karina Sarkissova was born in Moscow Russia of Armenian background. She began her ballet training at the age of four at the Ballet School of the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow ... but at the age of 12 she got a scholarship to the Ballet Conservatory in St. Pölten in Austria. In 1999 she won the young ballet dancer competition 'Prix de Lausanne' and was offered a post in the 'Ballet of the Vienna State Opera' and from 1 January 2009, to 31 August 2011, she was active soloist of the State Opera and the Volksoper in Vienna until she took a 'leave of absence'. She didn't return, and is now the principal dancer for the Hungarian National Ballet in Budapest

From 2004 she also took work as a choreographer in various productions of 'choreo-lab' with, a series of projects organized by the Vienna State Opera Ballet Club. She also has appeared in movies as a dancer in the movie 'determined Kottan: Rien ne va plus' in 2010. She has also appeared on TV as a guest juror in the 'ORF' show 'Dancing with the Stars'

She isn't shy ..... She posed for nude photos in the June 2010 issue of the magazine P*nthouse. She hadn't bothered to get her employers permission to use her rooms in the Vienna State Opera for the shoot, she was cautioned by the ballet director. Undeterred in August 2010, another set of nude photos were published, this time from a photo shoot for the magazine, 'The WIENER' (an Austrian lifestyle magazine for men) ..... she was sacked.

The nude photos had already attracted the attention of the popular press, and even international media attention. She pointed out that the second set of nudes were an older shoot and she had had permission for them ... so she was reinstated ... but then quit.

Her biography caused a stir because it included her admission that she had lesbian feelings .... her quote was "I'm bisexual".

Last one for a few days ... mainly because it requires very little effort to write up on my part, as I can find out very little more. In a blast from the past, all I know about this is that Karen Bull was crowned the 1983 Miss Weymouth Carnival Queen, with all the local press and local TV coverage that entailed, when .....

.... She took the then fairly common (in those days), step of flaunting her wares in the UK lower end mens magazines such as 'Mayfair', and 'Escort'. It was considered a chance to get some TV work as an 'actress' or 'hostess' .... but carried risks that you wouldn't get off the bottom step of the celebdom ladder. Anyways you can guess the rest, outrage amongst local councillors, and in the local press ... with no doubt the UK Sunday papers of the time ('News of The World' and 'Sunday People' et al), running a nice juicy story, with grainy black and white pics (with good bits covered by black strip) .... and our heroine sacked. She then appeared in various other mens mags such as 'Big Tops', 'Men Only', and on the cover of 'Blue Climax 62'.

Five minutes of fame and not even a slot as a dolly bird on the 'Golden shot'. Such is life.

• She featured in Men Only vol 49 / 11 as 'Cathy' in 'My Hometown Bournemouth'.
• She was contemporary with Vida Garmin and Teresa May e.g 'Thrills girls of your town' Issue 048 which featured Karen Bull, Verena Hart, Teresa May, Sally Mckenzie, Sharon Kane, and Vida Garmen.

Katrina Darrell is an American of mixed Italian, French, American Indian, and Spanish descent who lives in lives in Chino Hills, California. She has worked as a 'Hooters' girl. She is purportedly a singer, and model. Her claim to fame is based upon some very dodgy audition performances on American Idol's eighth season in 2009, dressed only in her swimwear. She was known as "Bikini Girl". She was eliminated on February 4, 2009, but re-appeared for 2009 season finale in a vocal 'throw-down' against judge Kara DioGuardi ..... she then disappeared.

In March 2012 she was arrested for DUI with her mother in the passenger seat after she allegedly ran a red light and smashed into another vehicle. She then allegedly tried to flee the scene ... but a police officer who heard the crash, pulled her over in her 2004 Toyota Camry.

The officer smelt alcohol on her breath, and administered a field sobriety test. She failed the tests and was arrested. She then broke into hysterical crying and was taken to a nearby police station ... where she took a breathalyzer test ... and blew a .15 and a .17 ... which was double the legal limit of .08. She was eventually cited and released just after 6AM. As for her mother, an ambulance was called to the scene of the arrest ... but her condition was not clarified. She could also be charged with hit and run for allegedly trying to flee the scene of the initial accident.

She issued a statement saying that her mother had actually fallen and was bleeding from the head. She denied running a red light and stated that she voluntarily pulled over after realizing that she had been in an accident. She then called 911 and the police showed up. She also claimed that the breathalyzer test was administered too often (even though the police are allowed to repeat the Breathalyzer test if there is an error or no reading. It is also standard procedure to obtain two samples, fifteen minutes apart, in order to ensure accuracy).

There are also unsubstantiated reports on the 'Glossy News' website that there are amateur photos of her nude which were sold, along with brief video footage, to 'Girls Gone Wild' site for a sum in excess of $50,000. I couldn't find any, except one 'censored' pic, attributed as part of the set ... so this may not be a true story.

Linda Hogan was born Linda Marie Claridge in North Hollywood, CA. She met her future husband Terry Bollea (better known as Hulk Hogan) in a LA restaurant, and had a long-distance love affair for almost two years before they got married in 1983. She then started her own career, mainly in the family TV reality shows and a couple of released movies. She also wrote the 2011 book 'Wrestling the Hulk - My Life Against the Ropes'.

However following revelations that her husband had been having an affair with the thirty something Christiane Plante (who had been helping her daughter Brooke Hogan produce a record), during the filming of the reality television show 'Hogan Knows Best', Mrs Bollea filed for divorce in Pinellas County, Florida. In November 2008, Linda confirmed to the public that she made the decision to end her marriage after finding out about Hogan's affair. Linda received more than 70 per cent of the couple's assets in their divorce settlement.

After filing for divorce, Linda (48 at the time) started dating one Charlie Hill (Aged 19 at the time). Hill was a student at her children's high school, and was just one grade above Nick and one grade below Brooke. They got engaged for two years before eventually the relationship (perhaps unsurprisingly) ended.

The leaking of a sex-tape featuring her ex-husband Hulk Hogan, prompted more outrage with the ex Mrs Hogan calling it 'sickening.' ... she told press that she 'wasn't really shocked about the tape' which featured Heather Clem, the ex-wife of Hogan's best friend - radio DJ 'Bubba the Love Sponge' Clem - even though she had been to the wedding of the Clems.

In October 2012 she was pulled over for speeding, after attending a jewelry function, but the officers had good cause and breathalysed her, she failed the test and was over the legal limit. She was booked at a nearby police station following the 1.34am arrest, and was released after posting $5,000 bail several hours later. At the time of her arrest she claimed that she had only drunk one glass of champagne on an empty stomach before driving home from an event in Los Angeles. However because she was on antibiotics the effects of the alcohol were exacerbated. She was only officially charged with DUI in January 2013 and although she has no previous DUI convictions according to reports she could face up to 18 months behind bars, when the case goes before a judge later this month.

• 'Hulk' told the St. Petersburg Times that he was not aware of the divorce filing when the paper called for a comment.

Colleen Shannon was born on Pelican Island, Alaska, USA. Her parents were Irish and Swedish descent. She moved to California at age sixteen and attended Independence High School in El Dorado county. She became a 'Nightclub DJ' and was allegedly 'established as a top DJ in the Los Angeles club' scene. She lives in Hollywood, California and now works as a DJ all over the world.

Fame came a knocking when she applied for, and got the gig of stripping off for the 50th Anniversary Playmate in the January, 2004 issue of "Pl*yboy." She then went on to 'star' in several "Pl*yboy" videos and then broke into mainstream when she was featured in the reality TV series "Celebrity Love Island." This led to appearances on music videos for groups I have never heard of and stage appearances with 'music artists' such as 'Sting', and 'Snoop Dog'.

She has featured in or on the covers of many magazines as diverse as "Mum," and "Super Street." .... as well as the men's type mags such as "Maxim," "Zoo," and "Loaded", and has appeared in TV commercials for everything from Bacardi to AT&T. All this led to a small film career in movies such as "Miss Cast Away," "Sci-Fighter," and "The Passing."

Human trafficking has such a bad rap .... especially when the trafficker is Ms Shannon ... Yes really, she closed her eyes and stepped off the deep end. In August 2012 she tried to smuggle a Canadian male across the border into New York, via a boat through the Akwesasne Mohawk Indian Reservation, which straddles the US Canadian border. They were caught and she was arrested and charged with breaking federal statutes prohibiting 'bringing in and harboring aliens'.

Apparently, the gentleman concerned was/is a boyfriend (although this has not been confirmed), and has a criminal record in Canada, which would prohibit him entering the US legally. According to court records, he was convicted in Canada in 1990 of 'procuring sexual services' and 'living on the avails of prostitution,' ... He was also convicted of drug charges in 1996 and 1999. So a drug taking pimp ..... they met and started seeing each other in 2011 after she DJ'd a party he hosted ..... nice.

The case came to trial in January this year, when a federal judge in Syracuse NY granted her request to drop her lawyer, and gave her two weeks to hire a new one. It's not clear why she wanted new representation. She faces ten years in prison if convicted.

Joseline Hernandez is of Puerto Rican descent, but arrived in the USA aged 10, where she was brought up in Florida ... maybe (its one of those kind of stories!). If I could entitle a post as 'Oops', this one might be a serious contender .... but here we go. It appears that her childhood was troubled ... with five brothers and sisters, her mother admitted herself that she 'drank, was on drugs and ran the streets a lot' ... and Ms Hernandez said that she had multiple 'father's' when growing up .... “She really wasn't no mother to me. She really was just in her own little world …..” ... she started work at age 16. She also claims to have had her own a boutique stand in Dallas.

She rose to national (well you know what I mean) prominence when she entered the VH1 reality TV show "Love and Hip Hop Atlanta" ... where she was something of a star ... well enough for her to start getting singing bookings after the show finished. According to sources she has been focusing on her singing career, performing at clubs and events across the country and releasing a single 'Bailar' (Spanish for 'dance'). She started her own website 'MsJoseline.com' and is working on her own clothing line.

But all this was the start of a world of troubles .....

A whole bag full of Oops have accompanied this small rise to fame:

• She admitted that she has taken drugs "And I know she [her mother] did drugs before, and it’s okay ‘cause I've done drugs before too, cause I didn't know any better."

• She has admitted that she was a stripper in Miami - under the name 'Shenellica Bettencourt' (wtf!) ...."that pushed me to stripping at 16 years old and doing everything at a young age" ..... she did this for several years.

• She has a facebook page (under the name Shenellica), which carries her biog pictures from a porn site .... the site features her showing her all, and the site also has a biog that states that

'Shenellica is a puerto rican nude latin model whos also can be seen as a stripper nude ... She has recently been aired on the new season of Love and Hip Hop, and goes by her real name, Joseline Hernandez. Check out Joseline on Love and Hip Hop Atlanta on June 18th'.

• She was arrested a number of times in Miami-Dade County, Florida for 'Lewd and Lascivious Behavior' in 2003 and 2007 under her stage name of 'Shenellica Bettencourt'. This covers any offences from exposing oneself in a public area, being caught in an exchange of sex for money, or performing other sexual acts in public .... its commonly stated on the web that her offences were for prostitution.

• She features in a solo video on the web, playing with her naked body .... this was obviously from before her TV days .....

• She had a love spat on the LHAA show with 'Mimi Faust', another contestant, over the affections of one 'Stevie J' (former Bad Boy producer and ex boyfriend of rapper 'Eve'), during which the other contestant said that Ms Hernadez was actually a 'Joseph', not a 'Joseline', and was really a 'gayboy tranny'. This started a hate campaign by some websites, and a host of trolls on twitter etc, who agreed with this ..... so instead of just producing her birth certificate, our heroine tweeted a fully naked picture of herself (see below - top pulled up and no knickers), taken before the LHAA days ... which prompted even more web coverage. Things then got more complicated when she reportedly had an abortion at Stevie J's request, after she fell pregnant during the show. However, if true, this also lays another lie to the 'shes not a woman' posters .... they never really had any traction anyway, as its fairly obvious that shes 'natural' down below.

• After her alleged abortion, she was beaten around the face in an Atalanta nightclub, after a lady patron of the club took offences over her aborting a child ..... she left the club with blood on her face from the fight.

• She hasn't always fulfilled her contractual performances, and has been threatened with being sued over not turning out for gigs e.g. one of her gigs (or supposed to have been) was at Albany State University. She didn't turn up at the football game and didn't do the show ... the sponsors were not happy as evinced by the statement they issued “2T Water sponsor events across the country, to promote health and wellness with our products. It is unfortunate that celebrities like Joseline Hernandez, would disappoint their fans, with unprofessional behavior".

• She was reportedly one of the strippers involved when Adam “Pacman” Jones (a NFL player) showered scantily clad dancers with money. So much money was thrown onto the main stage (thousands of dollars) that dancers, after their sets, started filling buckets with the loose bills covering the stage. Just minutes after “making it rain”, Jones was involved in a fight inside the club. A short time later, three people were shot outside the club. The 'scandal' went national and although the charges against Mr Jones were later reduced, its believed to have contributed to pushing his NFL career to the brink.
