Raquel Welch Discussion Thread

The photo is from the set of the movie Fathom. It may be Raquel. She was changing clothes in one scene on that set behind that blind. But since there were stunts in the movie it may have been a double. One who did stunts as Raquel in that movie, the bull fight ring, was a man and one who did the stunts in the water was a woman. If it's a double the resembalence is astounding. I suspect if it was a double she would have done other things. Can't believ a woman that fantastic looking and looking like Raquel Welch and in the movie business would not have done anything else. Never seen anything else from a "double" of Raquel. I suspect it's Raquel. Also, an old girlfriend of mine had her boobs done by a doctor who was rumored to have done Raquel's. The boobs in that picture look like my girlfriend's.

I don't think it is a fake. I would more likely believe it was a look alike. This is about the only real/fake debated photo that I lean towards the real. It looks like her stomach to me.

I also saw this in a magazine in the 1980s. I believe it's a real candid shot of her on a set (maybe Bedazzled) taken by a crew member (though we've never seen the original), and then someone later airbrushed out the bra and panties and added the bush. Wasn't hard to do back then.


You can see two crew members on the right, so there's no way she was parading around nude in front of everybody.

There's another thread on here somewhere about that pic. In that thread someone proved those were not the shoes she wore in Bedazzled.



There's also a higher quality pic in that thread...I think it's in that thread...and you can tell it's not airbrushed.



As for the "parading around," I mentioned this in that other thread. I did some stage hand type stuff in theater in my younger days. When an actor/actress comes off stage, and has a wardrobe change, in a lot of cases they only have maybe a minute or two to change, so they have to change right there in front of everyone. I was kinda shocked the first few times it happened. I was told by one of the older hands it's just something everyone gets used to...both behind the scenes people and the actors/actresses. So I could easily see an actress just "parading around" in front of crew members. Now that doesn't mean that's Raquel in that pic, but I could see how she would do that and think nothing of it.

Years ago, I saw this photo uncropped. It looks like backstage at a live theatrical presentation, and some sneaky bugger snapped a photo when Raquel was in the midst of a costume change.

There’s a bored-looking stagehand in the photo, and he looks like he is on his break.

The contours and shape of Raquel’s body was quite distinctive, and this looks like her body, and nobody else’s.

Does anybody have any proof that this was photoshopped or altered photographically in any way?

I’d like to see it.

But in the meantime, I’ll enjoy gazing at the unique pulchritude of Miss Raquel!

I am 100% certain this was not Photoshopped. From my understanding the first Photo editing software was developed in 1989. This image appeared in a magazine like Celebrity Skin pre 1989. So if it was edited it was old school.

Somewhere in my warped mind I recollect seeing this image in colour but completely reversed, so Raquel is walking right to left, is it genuine I have no idea but until someone proves it is not I'll happily enjoy Ms Welch's uncovered curves.

I can subscribe to the quick change theory as a friend of mine did some film/stage work in her younger years and depending on the budget or size of the cast on the production both men and women could be naked under their costumes, with smaller film/theatre groups you often played a number of roles so switching costumes in the wings in a matter of seconds wasn't unheard of. So yes this could be Raquel between changes.

Consensus 30 years ago was that it was from backstage of her Vegas show. It was always presented in B&W, but a fellow named Foxfire colorized it in the early 90's and posted it in abncf. (I know. I was there)
