I agree some of savage's comments are racist and have no place here. I've hoped and asked him to tone it down. Ban him if you must, but he is no Nazi and does not deserve virtual beheading; that's just as reactionary as he.

Also maybe this thread should be closed, but I hope we can continue with reasonable exchange of ideas without rancor and personal attack from either 'side'.

We're really on the same side, we love our culture and place and want the best for it; we just have some different views, and that's ok.

I thought the thread was a pretty accurate vision of something that had become apparent to me post the Trump election. Unfortunately it became a ping pong contest that was an imitation of something the 'Islamic Militants' thread had become.

As to Brecht's point on the far right crying foul, the left have been crying racism, sexism, homophobia to try to silence critics for an awful long time.

I have an idea, let's just close all the threads that a few find distasteful or maybe a particular poster. We can then just have innocuous or nude ones and not discuss any thing that might upset a couple of members. After all this started out as a porn forum and just expanded in what I believe was a positive direction. But hey I understand some don't like controversial stuff. To bad but everyone is human.

I have a stupid question. What is 'Cultural Marxism'? Does this have anything to do with Marxism? Cultural Marxism, that always sounds so smart.

I'd like to be smart, but the term makes no sense to me.

Does this refer to Marxism?

Yesterday I wanted to impress my old granny. I called her a Cultural Marxist since she always defends those nasty foreigners

. She said the term 'Cultural Marxism' is just a empty catchphrase without any meaning, and furthermore a sure sign of incurable idiocy. In a condescending manner.

I can not believe that. Is she really right? Can someone help me?

Well, to be honest, I did not expect a real explanation from a bourgeois gazette like the Guardian. These guys are more than challenged when it comes to the topic of Marxism. This is simply in the nature of things, I guess.

To illustrate the actual problem a bit more clearly. The defining feature of Marxism is still the indissociable class conflict, and the resulting class struggle, which can only be solved in the revolutionary renewal of contradictory realities. Marxist materialism is always dialectical. Always and exclusively. Thesis, antithesis, synthesis. Everything else is not Marxism. The foundations of Marx's dialectical materialism can be found within the Hegelian dialectic.

The so called long march through bourgeois institutions has absolutely zilch to do with Marxism. That's just the idiotic idiocy of idiots.

So the question remains. What is 'Cultural Marxism'?
