I've noticed that on more than one occasion
Never harmed me When I was a kid and brushed my teeth, twice a day I'd squeeze some toothpaste into the glass of water I'd rinse my mouth with, stir it in and drink it Colgate peppermint and McLeans peppermint and a triple color red, blue and white one they had were my favorites Did that for quite a few years, till Mum saw me one day and I got a clip over the back of the head..... But did it again Might start that up again

A small dose in toothpaste is harmless. But drinking it is not. And even some bottled water has it, why?? they want us dumbed down; just watch x factor and don't think about us taking over the world. remember daddy Bush's words:

Genetically modified salmon could soon be found on supermarket fish counters after the U.S. food safety watchdog ruled that AquAdvantage salmon posed no environmental risks. The FDA draft ruling declares that GM salmon are unlikely to damage the environment when grown according to proposed 'conditions of use' and would be the first genetically altered animal approved for human consumption anywhere in the world. The AquAdvantage salmon contain two extra genes from other fish that make them grow to full size twice as fast as natural salmon. However opponents have warned any GM fish that escape and interbreed with wild fish could undermine genetics of the already-endangered Atlantic salmon. It is most certainly not a myth. Look it up. The water of Belfast was tested by Queen's University and did not contain the above.

However, going back to the other point, I'd be somewhat surprised if Belfast water did not contain any of the chemicals I mentioned. In fact, it would probably make Belfast water unique! Tap water contains traces of all sorts of things which would normally be considered nasty, but the regulations specify the maximum amounts, and at those levels they pose no risk to health. Total conformance means meeting those legal requirements for the levels of those chemicals. It doesn't mean a total absence of those chemicals. The quality of drinking water in Northern Ireland as a whole dropped slightly in 2011, compared to 2012, but is or course, still at a very high level. Not quite as high as England & Wales, according to the normal reporting parameters, but it's still of a very high quality. There's a full report from the Northern Ireland Environment Agency (in PDF format) if anyone's interested. Google "drinking water quality in Northern Ireland, 2011" and it should come up. My original comment was only meant to be tongue-in-cheek because "pure" water does contain traces of nasties! That doesn't make it dangerous! In fact, it's often the case that bottled mineral water contains higher levels of contaminants, but people seem to look on it as being "purer"! If in doubt, drink beer or Whisky! It'll still contain contaminants, but you'll very quickly reach the point where you no longer care! |
