On the very rare occasions I am in Yorkshire, the three local Councillors are all independent, they represent the town and do it with true meaning, one of them set up and runs a food bank, he has been at the forefront of the battle against HST2, which is a multi-billion waste of space, and is going to destroy communities it is going to run through. A friend of mine, who was in need of help, got given some furniture, he had no van to collect it, so the Councillor, did it for him.

The lady Mayoress of Doncaster, told the constituents of the three Councillors that if they did not vote in the Labour council candidates then the town would get no help from the council. At the last election the town told the Mayoress were to go, they returned the three, the lowest rated of whom, had more votes than the three Labour candidates combined!

People have longer memories than Politicians realise ,
as an example - thanks to the Liberal Democrat sell-out at the 2010 General Election , voters in the Scottish Borders voted in a different candidate from the SNP in 2015 , and ousted the local MP who had held a safe seat for 15 years ( and had held my area since 1965 )

2 inner Melbourne Councils, Yarra and Moreland, both among the most PC bunch of wankers I've heard of.

Earlier this year both councils voted on ..... No longer celebrating Australia Day, it passed. They will be having another day for a combined thing for Aboriginals and all others called Harmony Day or some crap.

I can understand the need for such a day, no problem with having a second day at all, what annoys me is that's a Federal issue, not State or local.

Both those councils have been infested by an activist group named "Get Up" , an ultra leftist PC mob says it all

and the trouble with promising stuff , that you can't deliver , and then annoy the electorate , is that they then don't trust what any of them said

Wtf is going on. My browser of choice for downloading images because of the simple add-on that now appears to have vanished
Its been replaced by a shit option that downloads a zip file but fucked if I know where the images go when I unzip them
