I hated that episode, because it's sole objective was to deter people from voting for 3rd parties.

That's something that happens a lot in mainstream media. They have their view points and they try to subtly push it on to you. For Example, in 2016 Oliver dedicated entire episodes where he criticised Trump and 3rd party candidates but never ever did an episode on Clinton. And then of course they claim that they are simply presenting the news/facts, but that's not the case. By purposefully covering some stories and not others you are creating a narrative that supports your personal beliefs.

What particularly irritates me about this situation is that when Fox presents a bias story everybody will jump on them and all them out on it, but when the media on the left does the same thing, nobody says anything.

You could see this coming.

The nuclear fallout from president Trump's protectionist/isolationist rantings have and are continuing to take thier toll. The country has suffered tremendously for it's lack of a cohesive foreign policy between the president and the State Dept. Other countries can't risk 3 1/2 years of chaos waiting to see if the wheels will be put back on the cart before this term ends, or when the next president is elected.

China will be the global leader going forward from here.

Trump's attempt to eliminate the EPA, HUD, Dept of Energy, and gut the State Department, etc. is also shifting power away from the Presidency and to the Congress. Thus, he is failing in the fundamental task of the Chief Executive, i.e., to preserve and enhance the power of the Presidency.

Keep your fingers crossed, because if these bozos screw up badly enough, they will destroy the trust in "the full faith and credit of the United States" and crash the world economy. Life will be very much harder on everyone when they take away our credit cards.

I'm not so sure they'd do that. They may take our cash, but would they take away our credit/debit cards as they are part of the 'cashless economy/society'?

If we ain't got cash in our hands and can never get cash in our hands we have to rely on Govt. and banks to 'allow' us the credit to 'buy' food and clothes, thus we become totally dependant on Govt. and banks to live.

Then Govt. can track us and control us by deciding if we can get food.

Anti-govt. protester? No food for you, sunny-jim.

Default Donald Trump Jr and Paul Manafort to testify before Congress about Russia

Donald Trump Jr, along with the former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort, are scheduled to testify publicly before Congress on 26 July.

In a hearing entitled Oversight of the Foreign Agents Registration Act and Attempts to Influence US Elections: Lessons Learned from Current and Prior Administrations, the president’s eldest son and his former top campaign aide will appear before the Senate judiciary committee as further scrutiny mounts of the Trump campaign’s connections to Russia.

A spokesman for Manafort told the Guardian: “We just received the letter and we’re reviewing it. We have nothing else to add.” A spokesman for Trump Jr did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Their testimony comes less than two weeks after it was revealed that the two, along with Jared Kushner, a top White House aide and Trump’s son-in-law, met with a Kremlin-linked lawyer in 2016 who offered Trump Jr negative information about Hillary Clinton. Kushner is expected to testify in a closed session before the Senate intelligence committee on 24 July.

In an email thread published between Trump Jr and Rob Goldstone, the publicist for a Russian oligarch, the president’s son was told: “The crown prosecutor of Russia … offered to provide the Trump campaign with some official documents and information that would incriminate Hillary and her dealings with Russia and would be very useful to your father.

“This is obviously very high-level and sensitive information but is part of Russia and its government’s support for Mr Trump.”

Trump Jr responded: “If it’s what you say, I love it, especially later in the summer.”

A quote from the article:

"Sessions should have never recused himself and if he was going to recuse himself he should have told me before he took the job and I would have picked somebody else," Trump told the Times

He added: "If he would have recused himself before the job, I would have said, ‘Thanks, Jeff, but I’m not going to take you.’ It’s extremely unfair -- and that’s a mild word -- to the president.”

If Sessions had NOT recused himself, his appointment would have never cleared Congress. Mr. Trump just doesn't understand why he can't exercise presidential authority and appoint people who will do his bidding and make this Russia stuff go away. Unfortunately for Mr. Trump, the war of independence put an end to American's living under an absolute monarch. Somebody should have paid a bit more attention in government class when they were in High School; the limits of presidential power, checks and balances and all that.

I think if he knew the job was going to be this difficult for himself he wouldn't have run. He probably thought the job was all face time on the T.V. and playing golf, in which case he'd make a perfect president. Three plus more years Donald, if you don't resign first. Forget the second term, it doesn't look promising.

Trump is too use to sycophants. How long do we bet before he resigns or is impeached?
