Image batch resize
Hey guys. I thought I should ask in VEF. Because all the image experts are here!
(lol of course, where else should the experts hang out, if they aren't here!) So, I bought this new digi-cam and it does make fine quality pics.. but they are like 5-7mb huge, on average. It needs to process all the pics in a folder to output them into another folder, and the pics should be at most 1600x1200 pixels huge, not more. What I'm asking for is this: A software, which can batch convert and resize all my cam-pics into another folder, nicely. Thanks in advance for any recommendations. |

I found the free utility FastStone ImageViewer which did exactly fit what I need.
It can select an entire folder full of pictures... 1) Apply resize to 1280x960 2) Apply color correction filter 3) auto rename pics to example "Lakeside #", where # is a sequential number ...and batch process the whole thing, renaming them in one go. Tried IrfanView but their auto-color optimizations aren't that good. Didn't try ACDSee yet because it seems their free version isn't updated anymore, but I'll check maybe later if it's even better. Thx again for the recommendations! |

I use Photoscape, it changes the size and file type at the same time.
