The above is a shot of the actress at the New York premiere of The Namesake, a 2006 film she appeared in, regarding old-fashioned Indian parents giving trouble to their boy wishing to fit in among fellow New Yorkers. The gal is evidently a New Yorker, and two years later had to move to Hawaii, when she was cast in Lost — which led her to experience "culture shock."


As she appeared in LOST.

Regarding The Namesake, her IMDb bio's "Trivia" section claims the director screen-tested 50 to 60 South Asian actors, and then chanced upon Zuleikha, who perfectly fitted his vision of "her Bengali girl role."

Out of respect for Alex Haley, who no doubt would have wondered about the lady's Roots at this point, this source claims, "Her father is English (with possible Iranian and Scottish roots) and her mother is of Indian descent. She was brought up in Thailand and Malaysia." (Another source adds Singapore. Zuleikha, which means “someone beautiful” in Persian, sure has gotten around.). She has said: “My grandparents were Indians and they were based in Burma," afterwards leaving the country, "and my mother was born in India."

Ain't it grand when we get to know what lies within an actress or personality? Inasmuch as how what we would really enjoy focusing on is the "without," or exterior.



I came to know of Zuleikha Robinson from her role in Lost, which her presence has graced in twenty-five episodes. All photos of Lost in this post are from season 5's "The Life and Death of Jeremy Bentham" (Ep. 7), "Namaste" (Ep. 8), and "Dead Is Dead" (Ep. 12), and season 6's "The Substitute" (Ep. 4), "Ab Aeterno" (Ep. 9), and "Everybody Loves Hugo," (Ep. 12). Since she played a bad-ass, the good thing, unlike the trend of films and TV shows that cast dainty women in "action" roles and then expect us to believe she could flip a man twice her size without breaking a sweat, is the way she appears. Zuleikha is a bit on the husky side, and no pushover.


When a woman surrenders, mission is accomplished.

Fortunately, Zuleikha is a cool dudess, and was generous enough to offer cinematic views of not just her top, but also bottom. You had better believe members did not let these views go in this thread that began in 2010. First at the gate was "Stralis440" in 2014, with Post #13, followed up by "DTravel" the next year with Post #18. Then "Moon Raker" got into the act with his two posts directly above, from 2018 and 2021. The details are difficult to make out, which is why he was kind enough to provide links for the scenes themselves (now, alas, dead).

From Rome, S02E05, "Heroes of the Republic," 2007. The series has piqued my curiosity, as it appears to have been above-average. There was another clip I came across, where Zuleikha is evidently getting raped, but she's laughing through it, kind of like how Jennifer Jason Leigh spoiled Rutger Hauer's fun, in Paul Verhoeven's wonderful 1985 film, Flesh and Blood. (Yet the possible ridicule did not stop the offender's fun, here. Zuleikha's charms prevented all other distractions.) If I read this scene correctly (DTravel's second half of photos from Post #20 gives a taste, where she is seen first kissing the man, so maybe she was not getting violated), the role displays another indication of how well-suited Zuleikha has been, in playing tough cookies.



In the shot below, Zuleikha paid homage to her role in The X-Files, a 2002 episode of which she appeared in, when "thirty three members of the cast and crew of The X-Files have joined forces to perform the unforgettable theme song by Mark Snow, now with new lyrics":

Zuleikha's first major screen role was in 2000, and she ascended the show biz ladder quite credibly in the years that followed. After grabbing a role in the prestigious series, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, where she appeared in eight episodes in 2019-20, she came back in an episode of another television series the next year, but we have not heard from her since. She is now forty-five.
