They keep saying things along the lines of "Never forget." I don't really remember that day in 2001, I know for sure it was a Tuesday, meaning it was a school day, and the classroom had a little black TV perched over near the ceiling, and the news coverage was probably playing on it during the time. That's about it. Even so it is still very sad and haunting, especially seeing shots of the World Trade Center in TV shows and movies in the past. Recently watching Trading Places, there were shots that made the Twin Towers look so imposing and gigantic, all the more scary that they were destroyed.

I never bothered finding out who all the people in Pulp Fiction were, already knowing a ton of them, even down to Marvin, played by Phill LaMarr. Flock of Seagulls guy, never bothered, neither did I with "the fourth man." It was a really small role anyways, and also Alexis Arquette hadn't transitioned yet. I had to take a little long look and notice the similarities. Just now too I had to think back to The Wedding Singer, realizing she was a singer on it. I watched both movies a bunch of times, The Wedding Singer specifically through TV, as it heavily rotated at one point in MTV or VH1. I never grasped that the certain singer was transgender, I guess transvestite, just overall weird to me at the time. It had an impression though, other than Sandler and Barrymore, that singer Arquette played was what came to mind.

So basically she was in two movies I watched a lot, Pulp Fiction being one of my all-time favorite films. That's pretty nice, and she was fine in both of those. May she rest in peace. Also shortly before her passing, The Lady Chablis passed, and I only know her from Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil, which is a very good Clint Eastwood directed movie. May she rest in peace too.

RIP Daniel Wilkinson.

Shaw Lane defender Daniel Wilkinson, 26, collapsed during a cup game at Brighouse Town's St Giles Road stadium. The former Hull City youngster was treated on the pitch before being taken to Halifax's Calderdale Royal Hospital but sadly passed away.

26 is no age when you consider we are supposed to be living longer these days. Its only about a third of the way through an average expected lifespan. Its even more shocking when it involves people who are supposedly fitter than the average person.

I can only assume that once again the cause will be some unknown or undetected heart issue. The same problem that seems to pop up every time a young athlete passes.

RIP also Burkino Faso player Ben Idrissa Derme who passed away just a day before also after collapsing on the pitch in France. He suffered a heart attack during the second half a French Cup tie and died aged 34.

So many footballers dying on the pitch these days. Something really needs to be done to improve the health scans these players go through. There must be a way to detect heart problems with the technology we have these days.
