About ten years ago I was staying in a hotel in Norway in a little backwater town where my company's headquarters was located. The hotel was pretty dead, but there was a lounge/conference room upstairs with a library. Desperately bored I was looking for something English to read one night and came across (not literally) three hardcore mags. They kept me occupied for a couple of nights and at the end of the trip I put them back where I found them.
Fast forward eight years later, I'm now freelance but find myself doing some contract work for my old firm and staying in the same hotel. The second evening I'm browsing the library, and unbelievably, the SAME MAGS are there, exactly where I left them all those years earlier. Which either proves that Norwegians aren't much for reading, or they're very conscientious about returning recreational material after they've used it... |

I dunno, I never found porn mags in a hotel room. One time I did leave an unopened box o' Trojans in one. The chambermaid must have thought "I guess he struck out!" She would have been right too! I realized I left them after I checked out, but I wasn't about to go back to the desk and say, "Garçon, I left some rubbers in my room, and I don't mean overshoes, now would you please fetch them for me!"

This strikes me as the cheesy premise for an 80's porn mag photo set - Alvin, having realised he's forgotten his condoms returns to his room to collect them. "Why Monsieur, you have not used ze rubbers? Peut-être I can... ow you zay, help you out weeth thees?" Cue rapid disrobing of said chambermaid as she disports herself on the unmade bed... |

I would doubt this happens alot anymore. Porno on TV and DVDs have made it defunct. And the internet is all you need if you want smut.
Last week I was driving through my home city taking obscure short cuts, then I remembered a shop that used to sell second hand books and wank mags. Long gone boarded up and infested with pigeons. Back in the day he had his porn in the cellar. You walked down a very steep spiral staircase to get to this cornucopia of porn. I have never seen as many mags since. And he had a storage room with more. Worth a fortune now, but long since dumped no doubt.

I moved to New Jersey about 15 years ago and one of my co-workers told me to look for the "universal lending library" the next time I checked into a hotel. The practice then was to put the magazines in a plain paper bag and put it far enough under the mattress that the maids wouldn't notice it when they changed the bedding. My success rate was about 33% with PB and PH the most common finds. I haven't checked lately but I would agree that the spread of internet porn and higher download speeds probably have curtailed the practice.

I used to work for a maintenance company subbying for the MOD and I had to go to an RAF Chaplains school nr Andover, England. There was a problem in one of the bedrooms that I had to sort out . I found an expensive rubber doll under the bed showing signs of recent use.
Not the sort of thing to find where a load of vicars get together. |

As stated in the Porn Fairy thread I used to work at a conference hotel in Brighton, and at the end of each event our head chef would give the chambermaids the chance to empty the rooms and put the bin bags in the service areas, then would wander in and spend half an hour looking for goodies.
After conferences with Scandanavian delegates there were usually some goodies to be had, which would then be passed around the staff whilst the customers went hungry!!! PJayBr |

Left Toys Once
I took some toys in my luggage to Jamaica (Kingston for work, not the fun parts).
Got nervous about taking them home or tossing them in the trash (I was a regular). Plus I didn't really like the one of them. I lifted up the pedestal under the mattress and left them underneath. |

My younger brother found a magazine under the bed in a hotel room and alerted our stepdad. I was just old enough to want to take a look but he got rid of it fast
