What a f**king sick, depraved society we live in. How the hell did we get so far along the road where emergency responders are spat at for keeping people safe?
The older I get the more incensed I get when I read stuff like this. What the f**k is the world coming to?

I would rather face a barrage of bricks than have to clean spit off my firegear. In my career I got covered in blood, guts, body parts, fluids and shit many times but that was always in line with "doing my job". You learn to take that in your stride but being deliberately spat at turns my stomach.

Never mind "looking into the tenancy of some residents" the council needs to have them out, on the street now. Tonight.

What annoys me is that these sorts of people get portrayed as typical Council estate residents - when they are most definitely not!

I have worked in public housing for a large tranche of my career, I was born on a council estate and still live on what is technically a council estate now despite the majority of the houses being privately owned. I have encountered very few antisocial bastards - but hundreds of decent, hard-working people.

So it really galls me that this sh*t happens when our community here is more typified by litter-picking patrols, volunteer gardening groups and our annual charity fete.
