I am being plagued , yet again , by The ‘BT technical support’ scam phone calls , which I was always totally aware in the past was a scam ,
but its still really annoying to take the calls , and all I can really do is hang up - I don't know why they keep at this old scam , but some must still be falling for it - for them to be keep calling me

just very annoying - rather than disruptive - I had reached the stage if anyone with an Indian Accent calls me , I just hang up straight away

I did have a weird NEW scam attempt last month - where I got a call from some automated message saying the Inland Revenue had to charge me money for back taxes , and to hang on the line - and click say # on the phone - needlessly to say , this ' transferred ' me to an Indian Woman who made out she was official , so I hang up
( the sad thing for this scam was I was paid back taxes - a few days before that - so hard luck scammers )
but I point it out it , as it was a well-run scam attempt .

I don't think you quite understand, Local Councils here instead of working on local issues, Parks, Garbage Collection, Libraries, Local Roads, Community Groups, Parking and so on seem to be drifting in things that don't concern local issues like Nuclear Disarmament Immigration Foreign Trade and on and on. There's a few political activist groups here that will put up a candidate for council election and run on local issues but when they're elected instead of working for the community they're using their position as a voice for other issues .... That's what I mean by don't work as they should
