But i agree, unwanted noise is annoying and the sleep-disturbing kind is the worst kind!

My dog also sleeps in my kitchen at night, and is usually silent till morning (apart from the recent fireworks which really wind her up). Tonight, she is barking - a single bark only, but one each time my neighbours dog whines.

I am so tired - was falling asleep in my armchair, so came to bed.

Now, no sleep thanks to the dog duet.
Call the police in case of nighttime noise.

In the UK it is not a police matter...

It comes under the environment department of the local councils. (Who don't usually work nights, of course).

idiots that drive - using their mobiles phones , or worse still - look at the texts -
this simply never fails to enrage me .. as they approach busy junctions or weave among traffic ..

Gormless twats like this

'Don't block my drive' note left on ambulance
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england...ngham-41953644

I have my own driveway and as I live near a school it is often blocked by parents cars, I accept that at certain times of the day and also make allowances for the likes of delivery vehicles and would never think of complaining about any emergency vehicles. Every second can be vital in some cases.
Yes far too many of us are lazy bastards and choose to abandon our cars in front of driveways rather than park further up the road. It's not that bad if you are just popping in quickly but if you are staying somewhere for a while don't be an ignorant bastard and block other people's access. would you want them to do the same to you shithead ????

Think before you park

Yesterday, in a traffic roundabout, a young man crossing without watching anywhere,
he looked so happy. I just brake enough to avoid the accident.
Maybe I should have let go... He had all responsibility.
Just to take him off his stupid smile.

Christmassing ? It’s an attitude. It’s an action. It’s a feeling.”

It's a load of ballox. Encouraging people to spend beyond their means, buy things they don't really need or else make them feel bad about themselves if they cannot.

I find the current batch of Christmas adverts nauseating particularly at a time when there is still so much poverty in Britain where many children will be lucky to even get one tiny present and rely on charities for such things. Yes people should enjoy themselves of course. I'm no Scrooge or killjoy but please spare thoughts indeed money for the less fortunate. I find this rabid consumerism worrying and it will certainly lead to the destruction of this planet as it is completely unsustainable.
