It is better to be late in this world than to be early in the next one.

Likely an automated ringer, staffed by a person who picks up once the call goes through. The automation is terrible at dealing with answer machines though, so often thinks nobody is answering so hangs up. Doesn't stop it being fucking annoying though. Unless it's one of those "tech support from Microsoft" calls - they're fun to string along for a good laugh. :P

I see it on the Hutt motorway everyday...! The disparaging term for them in kiwi parlance is 'road maggots'......

Several times I've been a passenger in a car driving in conditions of very poor visibility, when asked to slow down or stop, they invariably say, no one else will be driving in this.

I always say, well we are, usually does the trick

That now that I'm on the ninth season of Seinfeld, it's nowhere near as good as I remember it being. Not even the end to start Indian Wedding episode. It's old and tired and except for George, they've all suddenly become unfunny and really obnoxious, especially Elaine.

Telemarketing... one more time a liberal free-market concept.
I don't know where do you live, but when I answer to the call, 99% of the time I listen an African female voice spelling wrongly my name and offering me products that I don't want or asking intrusive questions.

I try as much as possible to be polite for this poor woman who tries to get some money and feel sad to hang up.

Isn't it time to give an unconditional income to everybody instead to create stupid job based on useless consumption?

And how do you nickname car drivers who always travel alone in their at least 1000 kg car?

Cyclists and pedestrians are the best travellers on this planet.
