Deleted scenes from Tarzan the Ape Man 1981

Here is a detailed description of a scene that was cut out from the film Tarzan 1981 which was told to me in an online conversation I had with someone who had seen the uncensored version of the film.

'When Bo Derek was brought into the camp there she was greeted by 3 half naked women and I remember an aerial shot of the village and then zooming down to seeing her led from the canoes and brought into the village and the one native woman looking her over before going to summon the big chief They men were being forced down to a recessed area by male natives pointing spears at them...

Then I remember Bo was being dragged by 3 or 4 excited women to a staging area near a big round mud hut dwelling and the sound of her distressed cries and then a distant shot of her as the smoke enshrouding her cleared and she was surrounded closely by 3 or 4 women (I can't remember which number though very likely was 4 and what was clear was that they were starting to take her clothes off as she struggled feebly ... what I don't remember was that whether her wrists were still tied at this point (it figures she would need to be untied otherwise would be hard to remove her blouse etc. with her wrists still bound… unless it was a miscue)

There was still some wispy smoke wafting around the excited group attending to her and the camera moved in much closer it was then clear (and hard to fathom exactly out how many women were getting her nude) but close up showed a woman in front obscuring the view somewhat but as she wasn't as tall as Bo it was evident that by this point she was
already topless.. getting odd glimpses of her delicious breasts when the girl moved
slightly (as Bo struggled) (at first it wasn't clear what she was doing whether she was
busy removing the lower garments by her actions but Bo was definitely distressed as to
what was happening to her (so I would like to think she was feeling and fondling Bo's
breasts at this time)

Also I recall Bo looking down and shuddering and shaking and protesting about being stripped by the obviously excited native girls. Then I recall at some point her arms being held up above her head by the same girl standing in front or even two of the women doing th e holding... not clear ... I was almost thinking at the time (maybe wishful thinking on my part) that her wrists were tied to a pole, but wasn't obviously the case when the camera pulled away more.

Then as the camera panned out more showed one native woman.. a 4th or 5th inspecting her clothes as though they were being passed to her by the others and trying to fathom out what each piece was... seems at one point her hands got wrapped up in Bo's blouse or skirt (couldn't tell which... it was white... but she seemed intrigued by the clothes then while it was done it showed a side shot of Bo and was clear she was now completely naked showing her breasts and side view of her thigh/ass area while one girl bending over was picking up her boots ... I assume
having just removed them... then the camera left naked Bo and showed James Parker saying
something to Philp Law ... not sure what, but something about having an idea of what
they were doing to her after havin g seen Africa emerging from one of the mud huts as they were
first being ushered into the village. Then the scene moved to Tarzan being notified by the
chimp of their capture. Then soon after Bo was on the washing platform though I don’t recall her being taken there and tied down.'

I too have chatted with someone online about deleted scenes from this movie a few years ago, apparently at the time this movie came out they had a friend or relative who worked in the industry and was able to get hold of a bootleg copy ... the scene you described does sound familiar to what was described to me and also apparently there were other scenes that were cut too, including something about a lesbian bondage scene between a native woman/girl and Bo Derek... now that would be awesome to see.

Only version I've ever seen has the bondage/whitewash scene in it. You mean it's not there anymore? (Granted, I havent seen the movie for about 30 years but hell, the bondage strip + whitewash is even in the bunnymag promos.

No from what I was led to believe/was told that these are additional longer scenes to the washing and painting scenes which were apparently shortened when released.. I have seen and as far as I am aware those are still being of the movie or DVD release. Not sure how much longer they went on for.

Ah, outtakes, gotcha. Well, good luck. It sounds like an "Ask the Dust" or "Titanic" situation. I saw both of those in the theatre and they had longer or more explicit bits the first week than they did later on. (No bush from Winslet in Titanic, no undressing on beach/running ass from Salma in Ask the dust)

I'm sure there are hours of Bo naked from each of her movies sitting in storage in HH's closet.

Hef wouldn't have them. Bo's image was carefully controlled by John Derek during his lifetime, to the point that he wouldn't allow PB to show Bo with her pubic hair in sharp focus. If outtake footage from any of Bo Derek's movies exists, she has it, as she would have received access to all John Derek's stuff when he died, and if it exists, he had it up until then.

Uuuuhh. I'd be leary of saying what Hef had/didnt have about almost any of the 70s/80s ladies.

Kinda like Harry Langton the photographer's files.

Is there anyone celeb woman he DIDNT photograph naked in the 80s?

Not really on topic, but can I just thank you for vindicating my memory of seeing that scene on the big screen? For years I was sure there was more in that scene than in the versions I later found online. I did a bit of searching a long time ago but couldn't find any reference to an 'uncut' version or anything like that; ever since, I've assumed it must have been a figment of my teenage imagination!
