Has anyone got a clip from the Carry on film Carry on girls where it is about a beauty contest the scene I am after is the fight scene with Barbara Windsor and another actress who's name i don't know but she was well blessed in the tit region. If anyone has this can they put it up. No pun intended

I don't have a copy of the film, but the fight scene is with Margaret Nolan, aka Vicky Kennedy, and there is a fair amount about her on the net. There are Y-hoo groups which may include the scene you want. I remember it well, how she stayed in her top defies gravity!!

Having seen the movie on UK Gold the other day, I can tell you that one of the other girls is a young Wendy Richard, pre-Are You Being Served & Eastenders!

That looks like Tricia Noble,(formerly Patsy-Ann) australian singer/actress. Don't know about her singing talent, but I know she had a great pair of tits!
The cast lists an actress named "Lisa Noble", so it might be her.She was definitely in Carry on Camping

the Carry On series seems to have led a parallel life to the
fortunes of Hammer Films
They both started up in the 1950s
Their hey day was in the 1960s
and they both hit the buffers in the mid 1970s

Maybe that spoof of horror films with Kenny Williams
and Fenella Fielding helped put the wooden stake into Hammer Films too.

(a bit like Blazing Saddles finished off the cowboy movies )

Sid James sadly died in the mid 70s and the Carry Ons seemed to die with him.
It was all getting a bit sleazy in the sleazy 70s too and actresses like
Babs Windsor just turned them down.

I think I heard on the net that there's another Hammer film in the offing

not sure wots happening on the Carry On front, you d think they d have
another go, theres so many guys and gals around to take over

Julian Clary........a new Kenny Williams
Paul Merton... a new Sid James
Sam Fox.... a new Babs Windsor
Samantha Janus....... could provide the love interest


the talents all there, ready and waiting
Im sure Rikky Gervais would be up for it too

all they need is a good script and they re off and running

(Ben Elton and Richard Curtis (black adder fame ) could
probably do a good job on the script.)


(Carry on Columbus was a dire script and a badly thought out
movie, it died a death ....somewhere in the mid Atlantic.)

I'm not sure I agree with lovegod about re-vamping the Carry On genre. Carry on Columbus was a disaster and the liberals would be out in force:

Eddie Izzard, Ricky Tomlinson, Peter Kaye, Samanth J-anus, very good choice. Just share with you the text that appears in the prologue of Carry on Cleopatra which goes something like:

"This story is based on historical facts though certain liberties were taken with Cleopatra!!!"

Some great images here from the Carry On UK Classics. Couple of notes (hope I don't bore you to much)

Each "Carry On" film in the late 60's and then 70's was shot "end to end" in six weeks.

They did two per year. The average TOTAL budget for each film was £250,000 (pre production, product in and all post production)

The principle contract artists (contracted to do two a year by Rank) - e.g. Kenny Williams, Babs, Sid James, Charles Hawtry etc were paid about £28,000 each per year each to do the "two movies they were contracted for per year"

which they are hoping will come out by
he end of he year

The movie is to be called 'Carry on London'
