Demsal8 was a great member and a very nice human being. His works on colorizing b&w pics were awesome. I asked him once for a job on an image of one of my favourite women, Sara Malakul Lane (which is currently used as my avatar).
He told me it might take him one week to do it. The next day, he sent me the colorized picture. I'll always be thankfull for that. He will be terribly missed.

Rest in peace Don.

Oh man, I only see this now. Although I didn't know him well, I was certainly aware of his classy colouring work and the respect he enjoyed here. Don was a very noticable presence on VEF and his absence will become even more noticable. A true loss for VEF. Thank you for everything and may you rest in peace, Don.

This is a very large community indeed and I personally have had contact only with a few members and never with demsal8.

Time is the most precious commodity we have and reading through this thread and the recollections of those who knew him he gave his freely and unstintingly. The ideal member. Another lifetime of memories and skills forever gone sadly. R.I.P.

I personally never knew Demsal8/Don however from all accounts he was a standup guy in this community and will be deeply missed by many here.

Demsal8 was very generous with his time and talent to so many members. He did excellent work colorizing my requests. I hope he will be able to turn the grey winter sky into blue for us soon.
