Hey, it still looks hot in AUS

When I looked at our weather map just now, we're heating up too. I couldn't believe almost the whole country's above zero, but it is. It was still snowing last week

Darn. I was going to put a question to all the Australian members of VEF in a post yesterday, but then Estreeter broke in with a message about something else, which so diverted me I moved on to other threads. Now I can't remember the question I wanted to ask. I know it has something to do with public holidays in Australia.

There probably never will be either I suspect, just as there is no "kangaroo" day or "billbie" or "kookaburra" day. There are not any animal holidays in America either and won't be. Holidays in the U.S. celebrate people or things.

There should be a platypus day - a day made up out of all the leftover bits of other holidays.
