What we need to hunt is the feral pigs. They are as destructive as the frigging bunnies of Australia.

If we were governed by anyone other than the current elite who have cattle & sheep mate lobbyists holding their balls the feral pigs , bunnies , goats , buffalo , camels , crocodiles , dingoes and any other serial infestation species would have been turned into a real meat export trade decades ago instead of this limited culling & poisoning routine that goes around and around with no end in sight. As my father tells it rabbits were always the poor mans meat and the rich bastards have been trying to make sure he doesnt even have that for ever in a day. We've had 2 tries at exterminating the rabbits , 3rd one is under way The camel herds that occasionally run rampant through communities and destroy infrastructure could easily be sold to the middle east one suspects. The white man has never been too smart when it comes to using the enviroment in the most sustainable long term way - its all about big quick profits If their going to eradicate anything then get into those under resourced & managed national parks which harbour huge packs of wild dogs , pigs etc that just happen to border onto farmland in most cases. Compared to a Platypus, the Bilby is a knockout

Lovely tail on a Bilby.
So which is the all-time ugliest Australian critter? Strictly non-human, mind, to keep things above the 'belt'. You want me to start the ball rolling? OK, for a long time the Stromatolites were the winners, both ugliest & prettiest. But are they still or have they since been usurped? |

Stromatolites are very old though. You lose your looks after a certain point. But one could argue they've had 3.7 billion years to get it right.

I don't want any of your nasty critters. They evolved in Australia. That's where they belong. If suddenly Kangaroos, dingoes, salt water crocs, bilby's and all the other strange creatures suddenly started appearing in America, hunters would have a field day. All of those creatures would be exterminated in a few decades, just as we exterminated the Buffalo. It took hundreds of years to exterminate the Bufffalo, but now with such a greater population in the U.S. and modern killing tactics such as using helicopters fitted with 50 mm Gatlin machine guns, the Australian critters would be vanquished in just ashort while.
