Of course, this is the girl who Marlon Brando sent to refuse his Oscar from "the Godfather" in 1973 on behalf of Indian rights. She said it was more important for him to attend a rally at Wounded Knee that night, but when she returned to his house, he ditched her and went to Tahiti instead. Her real name was Maria Cruz.

We appreciate the odd comment and snippet of information but discussions like this tend to spiral out of control and usually end up with personal attacks, name calling and hair pulling.

Sacheen Littlefeather passed away on October 2, 2022 from cancer. Before her notoriety in 1973 at the Oscars, in1970 she had taken part in the MISS AMERICAN VAMPIRE Contest. At the time, the Gothic Soap Opera DARK SHADOWS had just released a movie called HOUSE OF DARK SHADOWS. They did promo tours for the movie, and this stunt was one organized to publicize the film. She ws "crowned" by the show's resident vampire, Barnabas Collins, aka Jonathan Frid. I was one of those who rushed home from school to watch Dark Shadows...
