Clearly, the charming young lady in question, has thoroughly enjoyed her exciting time living in a war zone with her "religion of peace" husband (don't know if he got up to any mischief in Syria - but say no more chaps!).

Que the press...at this rate, Ms Begum will need Police protection if she returns to the UK (something I find rather ironic). And I expect Mr Dyer will be receiving less-than-complimentary messages regarding his opinion on the subject...

The two brothers interviewed by the police are said to have claimed Smollett paid them for the "attack" - one was his personal trainer. Both are Black but born in Chicago and just returned from visiting Nigeria.

Chicago police sources have told various news outlets that Ola and Abel Osundairo have implicated Smollett in the attack, and that they accuse him of paying them to stage the ambush that he reported to the police.

Oh dear. Someone should tell Ms Begum to stop digging her own grave.

I think her argument was that Britain and the so-called Islamic State are at war and that the Manchester Arena bombing is an act of war, analagous to the bombings of civilians in the territory of the "Islamic State".

Of course, by the same logic, she would be guilty of adhering to the Queen's enemies in war and would potentially be subject to treason charges. Provided of course she can reach British territory from her current location unaided by the British government.

She asks for forgiveness and I was tempted to feel pity, particularly since she has a new baby. But I have to ask myself what pity did she show for the beheading victims and for anyone else who was killed by her own side? How are we expected to forgive her when she has no regrets?

I do find those headlines a bit unpleasant though, bearing in mind she might be tried by jury. The word "prejudicial" comes to mind.

In fact, it is beginning to seem doubtful that she would be safe if she came here. Quite a few people might be tempted to off her, just in reward for her sweet reflections on terrorist crimes against British people. That would not help anything.
