Not everyone who disagrees with your crusade approach to a modern problem like Islamic fundamentalism is an apologist for Islam. Being an atheist, how could I be an apologist for Islam or any other religion that preaches the destruction of people like me? But I'm afraid this problem is more complicated and you're not willing to give it a thought. You're totally oblivious to the political and economic roots of today's Islamic terrorism. Islam has to do with it but it's not the only reason. But it's easier to resort to simplistic answers to these questions like "Muslims inherently evil, want to kill all infidels" or "Mohammad was a pedophile".

I tried to explain what was going on in the Islamic world in the early Middle Ages and what you think you read in those lines is apologism. You seem to have no concept of history and context.

Russian cities were targeted by Islamic terrorists before, most of them carried out by Chechens. Many Chechens have joined the so-called Islamic State and have served as Salafist recruits for over 20 years. These terrorists are the scum of the earth and they have to be crushed. But we have to see the whole picture and understand what's going on.

Not everyone who declines to vent indiscriminately against Islam/Muslims whenever a new Islamo-Fascist terrorist crime is committed is therefore an "apologist". After all, revenge is a dish best eaten cold. Also, for revenge to be worth it, it has to be accurately directed at the guilty; terrorists, murderers and their supporters rather than anyone who just happens to be a Muslim. Anger and prejudice interfere with enemy-identification. Instead, the thing to do is to seek and find the actual authors of the crime, those who inspired and indoctrinated the lackeys rather than the lackeys who did the deed. For the ones who willed the crime and made it happen, a bit of mood music.

Do nothing in anger, for anger clouds judgement; but by no means does this mean you should do nothing. It only means that you should think first before acting.

BTW I am not proposing to commit any violent act of revenge in person and I strongly urge that no one else should do so. We have military services and intelligence services and these have a job to do, and regardless of the poor relationship between Britain and Russia I would be very surprised if British intelligence services aren't sniffing the air and casting for the scent of the people who caused the St Petersburg crime. So will be intelligence agents from various countries, because these murderers are a threat to other countries as well as Russia. So the nasty things should be delegated to the people who are trained and experienced in doing nasty things.
