In the 90s it was common that the girls of Pl@yb0y, especially in video portfolios, could run simulated sex scenes. For some time now for new models I can no longer find similar scenes. They still do? What was the last pl@ym@te to do simulated sex scenes?

Saskia Linssen & Corinna Harney (PMOY), both Playmates in 1991, I believe were the last to be in simulated sex scenes in PB videos. These scenes were generally extremely tame. I can recall a number of PB-produced scenes of that era, not featuring Playmates, that seemed to have a rule...no panties taken off while in contact with the partner. This tameness, compared to other softcore movies of the time, probably sealed their fate. However, it must be said that a number of Playmates throughout the 80's were in very sexy sequences, mainly in the Fantasies series of videos. A bunch of them are posted on this thread, primarily.

There were a couple of later Playmates, though still in the early 90's, who went on to independent softcore movies, of various genres, outside of PB.

• Wendy Hamilton was in a bunch of comedies & action movies, most famously in the Andy Sidaris films.
• Anna Nicole Smith had 15 minutes of fame, and was in one or two films.

After the early 90's, the well dried up for Playmates in softcore porn. There were a few reasons for this:

• There were some opportunities opening up for Playmates in mainstream work, the Jenny McCarthy example being a prime case in fact.
• Softcore & skin flicks were being supplanted by hardcore videos in popularity, because the hardcore "adult industry" finally got its act together, sort of. That industry managed to develop & promote a base of talent that was as equally appealing as the women who populated softcore, skin flicks, and music videos. As such, there just was a lot less softcore material being produced; by the late 90's, it was found largely on pay cable movie channels, such as Cinemax & Showtime.
• This is just my personal opinion, but the overall quality of models who appeared in PB significantly declined by the mid-90's. This is an issue which has been hashed out at length in other threads & sites over the years. Suffice it say that producers of softcore videos and similar material just went elsewhere to find models.
