In 2013, a Milan court sentenced a homeless man to house arrest. Each night, the police went round to his bit of pavement to make sure he was in his sleeping bag.

So the Spanish said there was no gold in Canada then? They must have been feeling a bit sillly when the Yukon gold rush took place then!!!

Staying in Canada then. The RCMP (the mounties) wear red for two reasons. Firstly it helped when dealing with native tribes in border areas, traditional British police blue would have made them look like the US army. Secondly it was easier to get red cloth as it was the British army standard wear, it was also cheaper.

In England a homeless person can be given bail by a court. Although they obviously dont have an address the court can just tell them to report to the police every day. Oh and its your right to have bail.

To continue on with gold. All the gold mined in all of human history is about 9000 cubic metres or about as much to fill two olympic size swimming pools!

The longest anyone has gone without sleep is 18 days, 21 hours and 40 minutes.
(Ha! I can beat that I didn't get any sleep for two years when I had hypertensive blood pressure!)

A tiger's tongue is so rough that if it licked your hand it would draw blood (okay let's be honest who is going to be stupid enough to offer a hand to a tiger?)
