She might end up rich too.

We have had a number of burglars get shot by gun owners who successfully sued the home owner.

I recall an unarmed burglar who tried to run past the home owner in the house, the owner shot him in the leg and the burglar got several hundred thousand dollars in a settlement.

She abused and threatened the paramedics, thus a breach of the peace, threatening behaviour and believe it or not if they had pushed it common assault, I did not know but you do not actually have to hit someone to be charged with that.

In US law, as I recall - assault is the imminent apprehension of bodily harm, battery is actually hitting someone.

If you obstruct or threaten an ambulance here, you'll get a "nice" fine of several thousand EUR. If something happens to the patient while the ambulance is obstructed, you can be impeached with manslaughter or bodily harm.

That's relatively new here, but since there were several incredible incidences on the highway (people died, because the ambulances were blocked by cars), the government drastically intensified those fines (before it was only an infringement) .

EDIT: The police must intervene in such a case.

Firefighters, police, ambulance and other rescue and emergency crews do a very hard job for very little pay and when members of the public assault them or do other things they have the right to be able to get on with their jobs unhindered, so if you ask me that woman who threatened the paramedics got what she deserved. I also think fire crews who are stopped from doing their stuff either by teenagers or hoaxers should be allowed to fine them heavily and there should be a return to more respect for these people -look at the imaginable horror of Grenfell or Manchester arena where the so-called first responders had to get in there quickly and unhindered- it would have ten times worse had someone held them up over a minor inconvenience of parking a fire engine or ambulance in an area where they need to get to someone injured.

Calling those who want to ensure that poorer German citizens are prioritised above immigrants a name with such a vile background as Nazi's is pretty rich and counter-productive.
Merkel may well have had altristic reasons for allowing so many asylum seekers in, over 1 million people, but she surely must have known there would be a public backlash if the infrastructure could not take it.

If one reflects about the problematic, than the main scandal is of course at first, that in a country like Germany is/must be such a "food bank" for poor citizens even existing.

Than secondary you are being with your last two paragraphs absolutely right of course, you are having problem very clear noticed.
The poorer society of Germany is forced to compete with the over one million migrants.

It is not a problem unique to Germany, food banks have been going here for a fair few years too, in fact they are all over Western Europe, coincidentally they began when the borders went down, there are entire businesses in Britain who do not employ British staff, I know of more than one that use unregistered 'agents', mainly Eastern Europeans, who scam the workers, all of whom are on minimum wage, not, as most know, my part of the UN, but being nosy I listen to others, and it also reflects on us, because of the concerns over the right wingers.

But for a German chancellor to utter the word 'Nazi' is a pure obscenity!

Yes, it's the problematic of the Neo-Liberal policy (*) all over in Europe. That's not/less a problem of the European Union but the problem of the most single members inside Europe.

As you noticed in Britain the British working staff is competing with East European workers so it's meanwhile here with the migrants. In the past Gerhard Schroeder made Germany to the biggest low wage country in Europe. There are about ~ 4 million workers, the country must pay for their rent (fully or in parts).

And so brutal it may sound - it is wanted that way !!!

And yes, what Merkel announced is obscene, like her politics mostly is.
