I keep hearing this ghastly phrase "Lock-down" on the news?!?!?! Where the f*ck did that bollox come from?

You lock up your house or your daughters or your livestock - yet this awful neologism is being spouted by everyone today.

The police officer guarding the Commons; it has been said he was not armed but I agree I thought ALL police now had stab-proof vests. Lockdown is an American expression Otoko and it appears to be now being used here whenever a place is secured by police or emergency services. I agree it is an annoying phrase but I would have said sealed up or secured.

I do find it a bit rich that Theresa May and the Home Secretary Amber Rudd praise the emergency services and the Police as brave and heroic, which of course they are, but then they are the first people to suffer when making cuts to finance for them, especially the Police and it was the Tories that took the 5,000 police put on the street by Labour off again OR reduced the size of the Met, so how the hell are they supposed to deal with things like this(remember riots of 2011?) if they keep withdrawing their funding?

A terrible act no doubt, what really fecks me off is the rolling news and the blatantly fake concerned face of tv news anchors. 'We're going to bring you the latest' there is no latest' it was 7 hours ago.

Hmm! I think you are being a little cynical - and the fact that people continue to discuss it here suggests that there are still aspects to be heard and learned from.

But I do agree that perhaps a period of quiet reflection would be in order until all the facts are known.
