"No shirt, no shoes, no service." is discrimination, too. Again, a man may disposer of his private property as he wishes, and if he doesn't want to serve some people, forcing him to is just that, coercion. There are all kinds of reasons to justify pointing guns at folk who are just minding their own business, and they're all bunk excuses for pointing guns at folk who are simply minding their own business.

vannax,
Depending on where you are in the US (this might be true in Texas) this is wrong depending on what your usage of the property was (or is). Throughout most of the US, if you've used your property in association with the production or use of some types or hazardous waste or potentially explosive products then there could very well be limits on what you can do with the property or who you can sell it to. More popularly, not all ag properties are available for development as some local units of government have decided certain properties are best left to ag usage. If thats the case, owners normally have been compensated for that limited usage. There are tons of similar restrictions on property usage. Noise, smell and a bunch more. Except in Texas. Somehow, those clowns allow explosive factories right next to hospitals and grade schools. Not really very smart. |

Therein lies the difference between "minding your own business" and not doing so. Refusing to serve someone is not a danger to anyone. People do not have the right to coerce service of any kind from anyone else. Keep in mights that rights are inherent, thus the phrase "natural rights", they are not granted by governments, in fact, they are regularly violated by governments.

I've got a nice little business renting rooms to students . I ruthlessly discriminate all the time - why the f*ck shouldn't I, it's my property. The only people who get my rooms are slim, attractive, European, heterosexual females, preferably girls who can cook and whose jealous boyfriends [ if they have one] are safely out of the way in Europe doing National Service . It's tough being a landlord but someone has to do it. |

So long as the lithe things are made aware of the cameras, it has nothing at all to do with the government.

I've got one question Otoko. WTF are these girls doing in Glasgow?
It's obviously not to learn English? Or are they just fans of Rab C Nesbit? Last edited by vinceprince; April 14th, 2016 at 05:21 PM.. |

BP shareholders reject chief Bob Dudley's £14m pay deal
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-36040210 "Just over 59% of investors rejected Mr Dudley's 20% increase, one of the largest rejections to date of a corporate pay deal in the UK. The vote is non-binding on BP, but earlier, chairman Carl-Henric Svanberg promised to review future pay terms. Mr Dudley received the rise despite BP's falling profits and job cuts." Is it any wonder why with so many big businesses and prominent rich people promoting the UK Better in Europe platform that ordinary people assume they are merely feathering their own nests. Despite decades of complaints about fat cat bonuses it is clear that nothing has changed and businesses appear to inhabit some weird fantasy land where normal rules do not apply
