Imagehost Problems, Imagebam, Imagevenue, PimpAndHost, PixHost, ImgBox etc

I can't see thumbnails from PimpandHost and Imagebam in Firefox.

Is there a way to fix this? I can see the images on Chrome.

Its a bit like asking a blind man how to cross the road; but I would suspect it has to do with your Firefox settings, since clearly you do not get the same issue with Chrome.

I use Firefox and am having no problems whatsoever. If you're using an Add on like Block Site, make sure you haven't blocked images from those sites.

Thanks! It was an add-on called Privacy Badger. It needs to be deactivated for this forum.

Im getting warnings from Avast that Imagebam and Imgbox are both infected. They were fine yesterday.

I hosted and posted pics today using both and I did not encounter any warnings, and my Kaspersky is usually super sensitive to the least littlest threat.

I did a virus and malware scan and my computer is fine,but each time I try to go look at gallery on imagebam and imgbox I get a virus warning and blocked from the sites. Ive never had problems with either of those till today.

I don't see it when I open this snap! Could be a false positive - it's happened before.

It looks like Avast is blocking some but not all images on Imagebam.

I can still get about half of them I have on Imagebam to still open without getting a warning or anything.

Some galleries are fine and others the individual images are blocked. At first I thought it might be any marked as Adult Content but it does/or doesn't do it to them either way.

I can go to Imagebam. I can view galleries. It's just the individual view of pictures where some get blocked.

It's odd that Avast would block some but not all of them or even just block the entire site altogether.

Further to that, which I first experienced ~16-18 hours ago, I've now had avast block a page of vef... but not for many other pages.

One can go to Avast -> settings -> exclusions & enter domains you want to exclude but it's odd because I've used avast for several years prior & never had to do such while browsing vef & those image hosts. Maybe a short-term "fix" of the hassles but it risks leaving the door rather widely open if there is malicious stuff on those host sites rather than false positives.

edit: further irony: when avast blocks one of the images on imagebam it first allows one's browser to load & display the whole image into its window before then blocking/blanking it. Leaves one wondering what if any "protection" it really is providing?
