Is Imgclick.net a permitted image hosting site for use on vef or not?
It does show a gallery but I find it very annoying as one has to manually follow every single image link (ImageHost Grabber doesn't work with it), and having done so then manually click a further button, just in order to get the relevant single image to load in one's browser window: very tedious. Unfortunately some vef posters seem to regularly use it for hosting their images. I suppose that implicitly answers my query in the affirmative, but I just thought I'd check. edit: I may be mistaken but I think it also doesn't retain image filenames? Using it doesn't break the Forum Rules literally, but there are better image hosts for members that want to share their pictures for the good of all rather than just to earn money.

Just a heads up. It would appear that imgbox is currently experiencing server issues. There are a lot of dead images displaying in posts. If their track record is anything to go by, this will probably be resolved soon.
Note: imgbox seems have resolved the problem and everything is working normally. For me, anyway.

Imagebam for well over a week presents a page that's is zoomed in to where the page is about 500 percent larger. It's usable but the only website I have this problem with so it must be them and not my settings.
Anyone else see this when they visit that site? thanks... |

Imagehost Grabber worked fine for me if I downloaded the pics from a single post view window. Since last monday that doesn't work anymore.

Problem with ImageVenue
I experienced this problem today with ImageVenue.com - I became unable to upload images via ImageVenue.com using Internet Explorer, and the problem only started just earlier this morning. It affected only IE9, so I could still upload using one of my other browsers such as Safari, Chrome, Firefox, Opera - all those worked OK. The message I got was after clicking on 'Send File' button to begin an upload using the basic file option - not the bulk upload. It had the title 'Message from WebPage' and reads 'You need to allow cookies from Imagevenue.com to use this upload method. Try reloading your browser. Otherwise use Basic Upload'.
The method I used to get rid of the problem was to reset IE via Internet Options/Advanced/Reset. I reckon the problem might have been introduced when I clicked on some images posted by other members using IV earlier in the day - many of these now produce unwanted drop-downs etc which I remove via Task Manager/Applications/End Task rather than by clicking on anything. Any thoughts from the VEF techies? |
