Regarding forum threads... is it just me....?
Is it just me or has anyone else noticed that the topics headers in the various threads on this forum have changed?
It used to be that there was always an option, under multi-page threads, to go to the last page of the thread - where the latest posts were. Now, that option appears to have gone and it is only possible to go in at the first page of the thread. I don't think I have changed anything on my setup so I assume others can see this change? |

No. Are you saying there is no "latest post" column as the 2nd column? What columns do you have?

I see no change. There should be clickable links immediately following the thread title if there is more than one page. There should be clickable page numbers one through three then last page if applicable. Such as: Gallery Magazine (1 2 3 ... Last Page)

Possibly another "blocked script" issue with AdBlockPlus ?? If you use it make sure all scripts for VEF are allowed.

Thank you to all for your responses...
Jenny48549 appears to have nailed the problem. AdBlock was responsible. Must be a new "feature" of the latest update as this has not been a problem in the past. Problem solved... Thanks all. |

I think the smart money is on avoiding use of ad-block plus till they sort out their lists
easy list seems to be the culprit on many many occasions U block is the most mentioned as a replacement For firefox users the alternative browser pale moon users has its own ad-blocker but bewarned it removes any acceptible ads that add-block plus allowed I recommend anyone but those on old PCs to use palemoon as a backup if not their main browser Pale Moon is an Open Source, Goanna-based web browser available for Microsoft Windows and Linux (with other operating systems in development), focusing on efficiency and ease of use. Make sure to get the most out of your browser! Pale Moon offers you a browsing experience in a browser completely built from its own, independently developed source that has been forked off from Firefox/Mozilla code a number of years ago, with carefully selected features and optimizations to improve the browser's stability and user experience, while offering full customization and a growing collection of extensions and themes to make the browser truly your own. Adblock Latitude is a direct fork of Adblock Plus made specifically for the Pale Moon browser. https://addons.palemoon.org/addon/adblock-latitude/ Last edited by buttsie; March 31st, 2017 at 10:35 AM.. I will have another look at PaleMoon.. I did consider trying it some time ago but as usual, it is a case of "better the devil you know" and stuck with Firefox.
FF usually runs OK on my Linux machines but some of the "addons" cause more problems than they are worth. |
