Deleting link(s)

When posting a new thread you can use this

It would be extremely handy if it was available when editing posts or adding posts to a thread as well

It is.... just click on "edit" then click on "go advanced" to the right of the "save" button. That brings up the advanced editor with all the options

For Mac users operating Safari, you can also just take out (or add) the "[url ]" and "[/url ]" -(space intentional or you get " and ") of the bulletin board code.

There are two kinds of links, those that just have URL tags wrapped around them:

The second kind has both the URL tags and the URL itself removed if you use

on it, but the first only has the URL tags removed. If what remains of the first starts with 'http://' then it will be turned back into a link (URL tags restored) when you post, if you have the 'Automatically parse links in text' option ticked below the text editing area.

Very true, and thanks for explaining that. I just didn't want folks to think
that when the op said that the links would be "deleted" by using

, that
it was understood that they were actually only rendered "unclickable".
