I think of this place as a more like a Gentlemen's club. Not only a place to look at and download porn, but to be gentlemen about it. I imagine if you those rules weren't in place, the cursing could be one of those things where it becomes an utter annoyance. Using the f word to describe an action, understandable. Using it in disrespect towards another member or even a model or actor/actress posted here, not needed. I think that the rule has made this forum a more comfortable place to visit.

Trolls and Flaming wars is why such limitations were first introduced
Where ever a forum starts out with very few limitations inevitably the anti-social crowd arrive and run amok The only measure that made angry troll go away was stopping the use of swearing and telling members not to respond. While people may think allowing it in context is Ok for mine its either all in or all out as the chances of a mis-understanding which begins a flaming war are always increased when colourful language is used - No grey areas. Theres also the issue of translations for the non-english speakers Some forums have gone as far as to say Models / Pornstars / VIPS who might be lurking probably dont want to read in graphic detail what you' like to do to them or worse what you think of them....I know on one forum where the gloves are off the amount of derogatory talk towards the models is obscene for people who are getting off on it. If members ever want more models / pornstars to actually come on forums like this the toning down of the language is a good starting point. Far better for all concerned to use emoticons if you want more emphasis edit it reminds me of this rule on bgafd.co.uk which has been around for 15 years 3.7.5 While a forum dedicated to the adult industry is not a vicar's tea party, the tone of language used in the forum is expected to be civil. No matter how much you may feel the need to tell the world that 'Belinda Big Boobs' is so sexy you'd give anything to stick your massive **** up her tight **** until she's hospitalised, this is not going to stay on the forum for very long. A lot of the models mentioned by posters do actually visit the forum, even if they do not post on it. Please remember that they are people and not just pieces of meat and moderate your language accordingly. Last edited by buttsie; March 19th, 2014 at 11:24 PM.. Reason: wording change |

He also mentioned grey area. 100% by the book, we'd have too remove any posts with swearing. However, as mods we can also show some judgment, We do let it slide when it is in the right context, If I'm in doubt of the context, I'll just edit the swear words out and prefer not too remove a post, pays too give the benefit of the doubt too the poster. If you're in doubt , then simply don't use them. But cursing other members or using curse words to describe models, stars, politicians etc.... simply not on, no matter even if they're unpopular too begin with.

We all speak faster than we type.
To type out a word requires milli-seconds longer than to say it in casual conversation. I use the word 'bloomin' quite a bit...I do that in ordinary conversation and it seems acceptable to both genders and I type it fractionally slower than I'd say it. So, to use gross language ( the C & F words), in a post, requires the brain engaging - whereas conversation doesn't always engage the brain as quickly. On other forums I'm on, say football....the less moderated ones tend to deter visits and involvement...the highly moderated ones have more member involvement and activity. I don't swear in my normal environment, and personally find the 'C & F' words are used as agressive and threatening tools. Demeaning, by their nature and offensive to wimps like me. PS I didn't know that VEF was a "porn site" , because I rarely, rarely go to the Modern sections, which could be classed as containing spam and porn I suppose, but Page 3, Elegance, Classic beauty, Bardot etc...is hardly "Porn"...imo |

mother to join in on a conversation here at VEF? Didn't think so. Now there may be others similar to yourself, that tell themselves that VEF isn't a porn site, but I promise you......whether you hang out in a thread created to talk about soccer, or linger for long hours in Bette Davis' thread, doesn't take away the fact that some of the hardest of hardcore porn, is but a quick jump to another forum on the site........not another site......this site. VEF has close to half a million members, and although chatting about our favorite team winning, or enjoying pictures of classic actresses, all may be things we enjoy......not a handful out of those half million folks first signed up here to see if Manchester won or not. VEF is a porn site, whether you chose to believe it or not lol. As far as cursing goes......or as we say where I come from....cussin'. The C word is a pretty nasty word in any connotation. The F word? Not so much. I use it every day, as a noun, a verb, adverb, you name it. The rules say not to use it here......so I don't......here. The fact is though, that certain cuss words do add a bit of flavor to a conversation, (in the right mix of company). Insults aren't tolerated here anyways, so...that's besides the point. From what I'm gathering here from all of these posts......almost all of you only consider 2 words to be "curse words"......the F and C words. I always considered most of ya'll, to have a much more extensive vocabulary than 'ol Bob here lol, but where I come from, there's a heckuva lot more cuss words than those two! lol Maybe we need a guide to go by, sorta like the one used in the old George Carlin joke lol. |

As i've said before the F-bomb and C-bomb are used in Ireland and Scotland quiet normally as everyday words. But only with people you know.
