Mary Whitehouse - early 80s UK model
Anyone got any pics of this lady ? She modelled in Sullivan's mags (probably Whitehouse) and, like the mag, was named after 60s/70s/80s anti-porn campaigner Mrs Mary Whitehouse. I can't remember whether I liked her or not, I just remember the name. I assume she was another replacement for Mary Millington, along with the likes of Rosemarie England, Louise London etc.

Oops seem to have answered my own question. She may well have been a predecessor of Mary Millington and her real name was Maureen O' Malley according to

Mary Maxted nee Quilter [Millington] 1945-1979
Mary Millington was the quintessential model of the 70s fact, she lead the fight against censorship fact, she was the top model of her era fact, she was arguably the prettiest no one posed like Mary, She was frank and to the point i.e at acting she said she was useless.
Mary had a charismatic charm few others could equal. To use Colin Mills ,David McGillivray's words she was extraordinary at being ordinary..her only crime was to be caught up in a wave of change pioneered by Sullivan that fostered her ideals... so much so it revealed her vulnerability and insecurities that eventually led her to take her own life because she was unable to change things. She had many idiosyncrasies but what in Gods name is wrong with that, she was quite simply born too soon. she was simply not right for her time. She was shortly before her death mixing and meeting mainstream actors comedians etc. I believe had Mary lived she would have made the cross over to mainstream as a celebrity..RIP Mary 1979 Sorry but the same pic has refused to upload...twice. Cosi Fan Tutti
I knew Cosi way back in the late 70s, when she hung with Genesis P Orridge / Throbbing Gristle. We had them play a few times at the alternative caberet nights I used to be involved with then called the Rat Club. I'd be very pleasantly surprised if anyone on here ever attended one, either at the Pinder in Kings X or Blitz in Covent Garden.
