Red was a high school pal of Elvis and a long-time member of the Memphis Mafia, serving as Elvis' bodyguard, sparring partner, stuntman in most of those cheesy 60s movies, and song writing collaborator until he (and others) were sacked by Elvis' father about a year before he died. Their near life-long association began when Red saved Elvis from an ass kicking in high school.

He and two others wrote "Elvis, What Happened" an explosive book about the secret life of the King of Rock -n- Roll that was released shortly before he died in 1977. Some say it contributed to his demise.

Afterwards, he found work in television and the movies.. before making a splash in the "Roadhouse" movie, he was the cigar chomping bad ass Marine Corp sergeant on "Black Sheep Squadron"..

RIP, Bob... you were a character

Default Deborah Watling

Actress and Doctor Who castmember Deborah Watling has died at the age of 69. After a short battle with lung cancer.

Her most famous role was as Victoria Waterfield, companion to the Second Doctor (the late great Patrick Troughton). She has the dishonor of being one of the actors who has been hit the most by the many missing episodes. Her only two complet serials are Tomb of the Cybermen and The Enemy of the World. Two iconic episodes.

Words from fellow companion Frazer Hines aka Jamie:
I've just found out about dear Deb's. Loved her so much RIP

Her father was actor Jack Watling, who predeceased her in 2001.

Affy sad.

She was one of the most enchantingly beautiful of the Doctor's assistants.

Looks-wise, She reminded me of Lynne Frederick quite a bit (though not as neurotic, mad and drunk).

The quintessential 'English Rose'...

Of course, because they are a bunch of tools, the BBC managed to destroy most her appearances in Doctor Who.

Only found out the other day that Deborah Watling was the sister of Dilys Watling, who regularly appeared alongside such as Benny Hill, The Two Ronnies. Sad to hear about Debbie, RIP :'(

Default Britain’s Got Talent champion dog Pudsey dies

"Britain's Got Talent" winner Pudsey the dog has died, ITV has confirmed.

The border collie, bichon frise and Chinese crested cross won the contest in 2012 with owner Ashleigh Butler.

The pair became famous for their dance routine to the Mission Impossible theme, and were the first dog act to win the competition.

Paying tribute to Pudsey on Friday, Ashleigh described him as a "beautiful boy" who had changed her life.

A post on the Britain's Got Talent Twitter feed said: "We are saddened to hear that today we lost Pudsey, a most marvellous winner. Our thoughts are with Ashleigh."

Details:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england...shire-40687618

Judging from today's "Sun", the owner has already replaced him with a lookalike.
But Pudsey the dog did bring joy to millions, I believe (although I never saw him perform on TV) and he even got his own movie in 2014 (Pudsey The Dog: The Movie).
RIP Pudsey.
