Posts missing from threads

I'm subscribed to quite a few threads, and I have noticed of late that there are posts going to these threads which I get an email alert for. However, when I click on the link, the post has disappeared.

Has there been a change to the rules somewhere ?

Currently the "latest post" is 2013. However I had an email for a new post earlier today ?

I now realise this managed to make it's way into the wrong forum

mods sadly can remove bad posts only after they've been made. and if they were made, subscriptions will be notified. no chance to solve this "problem". sometimes such threads bear the "phantom post phenomenon". in such cases threads look like having a new post (in forum list and by thread pagina) but if you visit the thread, there's no such last post at all. old forum bug and not really solvable if mods use hard delete option instead of moving posts to moderation trashbin.
